I know that the above is thinly veiled diatribe but what a spectacle we were served up yesterday evening in Limerick. Warrior like performances from amateurs. Compare it to the dishonesty of effort that we see so regularly from Premiership players. Glad I 'wasted' my time yesterday evening.

Glad you enjoyed it mate. not a sport im a fan of and with regards to the effort put in, im sure those guys did. Personally prefer othr sports with effort put in from both able and disable bodied athletes...Apparently thats not worth watching though.

For me martial arts (particularly Judo, taeKwonDo, Ju-juitsu & Karate) are my thing, followed closly by skiing, rally driving and Athletics.... Soccer :)grin:) is a long way down that list. i agree that they are, with a few exceptions...al over paid girls.

as long as you enjoyed it and it gave others some pleasure, then its all good. i can respect anyones right to enjoy a sport. Shame that doesnt work across the board. ,ok>

We should be very proud of our national sports. Incomparable IMO.
The hurling final will be a demonstration of everything that's right about them. Passion, energy, hunger and desire let alone savage bravery and all from players who don't get a single penny for it. They train and play for the love of their club and county. Sadly the vast majority of professional footballers wouldn't last two minutes on a GAA pitch.

Well done to the boys of Tyrconnell. They were the better team today and deserved the win.

The way they hunt in packs of 3, 4, sometimes 5 is unnatural. How the hell do you break through that? If Dublin couldn't do it, surely no-one can?

Kerry might have something to say about that though

Dublin did break through twice, and missed 2 sitters. If scored the game was over. Over confidence beat the Dubs.

Totally agree Ciarrai, the remark made by Queenslander!! was way out of order and very disrespectful of our national game.

To the GAA fans wanting to have an honest discussion, unfortunately this thread has been brutally hijacked, unfortunately.

The best team won today. Us Dubs can take our beating. Good luck to both teams in the final.

Mods, the personal abuse and outrageous unsubstantiated accusations continue on this thread. You will be hearing further from me and I expect this to be rectified asap.

It might be an idea to close this thread.

Fingy, I know you don't want to hear this brother but what's happening here is a direct response to your posting on the Commonwealth Games thread. When athletics fans, just wanting to have an honest discussion, had their thread hijacked by someone with no interest in the games, just interested in ridicule. I told you straight away then that it was out of order mate and its just come round full circle.

Again, you're a top bloke Fingy but I can't see how you can now complain to the Mods after doing the same thing yourself recently.

Nothing personal mate, just saying it how I see it. Remember, three people got bans from that melee that time.
