I don't understand why forwards, when they get goal side decide to hold onto a defender.

Yes the guy was holding onto Sterling, but why give the ref a chance to penalise you by holding onto the players shirt when you're in front of him anyway.

 

No tears from me mate, we managed to get ridiculous fees selling half our team and come out the other side okay.

You on the other hand, sold one player spent over £100m and don't look half the team you were last year.

To be fair I genuinely support you in the CL so I do hope you do well in it this year, espescially as you won't be in it next season!

We might not finish quite as high as last season but there's no way we're one of the worst 3 sides in the league.

We need to bring on an extra midfielder (for couts or lallana) tohelp establish some territorial pressure. We aren't in any real control of this game

 

Well, not the best half of football I've seen us play.

Lallana Coutinho have been very poor. Not shown any of the creativity they are meant to be bringing.

Haven't got Sterling on the ball enough. He's been on it twice and once, got hacked down and the defender got a yellow and the 2nd time played a nice little inside pass to Hendo to set up Lallana's chance.

sorry lads but this is a joke. without sturridge and suarez we are simply not penetrating anymore. we are nto getting behind and we just made a total muck side look decent.

lallana is a joke signing and coutinho deserves hauling off and the hari dryer fro the next 45mins. that was a shockingly poor display of passing.


Bascially badontelly wants to run away from goal and we have zero up fornt so we are playing in front of one of the crappiest sides in the CL.

sorry lads but its not kneejerk. i've been looking at this in preseason and in the games and we are nowhere near what we were.

both suarez and sturridge liked to get in behind and it ripped sides to bits. this is nothing like it....

 

That would be a good move, Rickie really does need a decent amount of time to be effective. He's fantastic at bringing others into play and with Sterling & Ballotelli he could make a massive difference for you in this game.

 

Just as bad as the weekend, 3 terrible halves of football.

 

Team looks like they have never played together before. We need to get players on the pitch who are used to playing with each other. And get Suso on for Coutinho, if BR isnt going to give him a go when Coutinho is on this form then he will never get a chance.

There's 8 months and still a transfer window left feller, and yes we are struggling to find consistency and I can't guarantee we'll find it, but lucky you can predict the top 4 finishers already, good for you.

 

To be fair to this side, they did really well in the EL last year beating Lazio and PSV.

Still no excuse but just because we've not heard of them before doesn't make them awful.

 

We got Alderweireld for free and he's just as good.
