You missed out notdistant and one or two others who are only part time posters. We don't quite outnumber the membership.

You'd have to go some to beat plym, he left school in 1865 when Princerock school was new and state of the arts. You didn't get GCEs you got a scroll...

That's the one Plym. Situated in the middle of a road which was fine when it was just the odd horse and cart but a bit more dodgy now.

    Thanks jools.

Badly swollen and black and blue upper right arm at present.....isolated in one of those foamy type of slings at the moment.

Fractured the upper ball section of her humerus bone......slipped on the carpet nipping out to the hall to answer the phone (which we didn't in the end) fell heavily on her right shoulder....couldn't move for twenty minutes.....luckily our son-in-law popped around and checked her out....and off to casualty.....he has been a paramedic for over 35 yrs.

Got home about mid-night and to bed just before 2am.....so hard to get dressed or undressed with an isolated unmovable arm.....painkillers only slightly help at present.....back to the fracture clinic on the 13th......there's nothing they can do but isolate the arm in a sling.....same side has her hip replacement....but thankfully that seems okay.

My mother broke her shoulder and all they gave her was a few pills and a sling. They don't seem to plaster people up these days like they used to. Sounds painful and hope she recovers soon. I have to go and have a camera stuck down (thankfully not the other way) on Saturday morning and wasn't exactly looking forward to that but I think I'd prefer that to her problems. Football day as well........bleddy NHS do it on purpose I think.

I might be fit for work within 30 days (if I play my cards right). I am a bloke remember. I missed the last home match because her in doors wanted a trip to Folkestone to get her baccy. I'm a non smoker now of course and a good boy. I don't want to miss another one even if I don't get to shout at the Ref much. I had a phone interview with a nurse yesterday and said I was hoping to go to football even if I couldn't shout much if I got excited. She said I should be fine as it's only Argyle..............

Don't know what all the fuss is about. In and out in 10 minutes with a soveneir copy of the pictures taken. I even had my hair cut for the photos but they never got anywhere near taking one of me in a pose.

Actually to be fair I was a tad nervous as I didn't know what to expect and sleep last night was a bit strained. I have to say the Endoscopy Department at Derriford are a first class outfit all round from Reception to the deed being done. Probably the most friendly section I have ever come across and they tell you everything you need to know about all of the procedure. Kept talking to me throughout the Op bit and encouraging. Excellent service. The worst part is the throat number. It tastes horrible. After that having done as told ref swallow when required the rest was quite easy if a little nit uncomfortable. Wouldn't want it done every week but nowhere near as bad as I'd thought. Glad I went for numbing and not the anesthetic in full. A chap who came out before I went in was almost laughing after having that. He was as high as a kite.

Glad to hear that all went well Sensible ..... Don't know about you but the initial numbing for a few seconds after I couldn't swallow ... weird feeling x

You can swallow but you can't feel yourself swallowing and yes it does feel very weird. All that was picked up was a small hernia which I was told loads have and don't bother getting treatment. Everything else was clear and fine which is nice to hear. Because I take blood pills due to my stent fitting last year I think that is the cause of my discomfort in the mid section. It thins my blood constantly and therefore nothing heals itself there. I've had todays test, a scan and tried some more pills and all they can find is as above so quite happy with that. If it means an Op then I might live with it. Not scared of Ops just don't want to upset anything because of the bleeding bit after.

Off to bed now because I'm bleddy knackered. Not much sleep last night due to the unexpected today, football and a couple of beers and it has taken it's toll on the eyelids. I had to get up at 7am this morning and I don't normally rise till the streets are well aired. I may not get up tomorrow at all.........(fat chance)
