Both available, both pretty young (Bassong 24, Kranjcar 26) and both would improve us greatly in positions we need strengthening (CB & LM)

Anyone else think we could do far worse than sign these two lads from Spurs, Kranjcar for me is a top class player, a player like him is something that we lack in midfield even with the new aditions, Kranjcar's play has a touch of class about it and he can grab a goal or two.

    Bassong, gd young CB IMO

    Would love a team of...

    ----------------------- Westwood ----------------------

    --- O'Shea ------ Bramble ----- Bassong -- Richardson --

    Sessegnon -- Gardner ----------- Cattermole --- Kranjcar

    -------------- Gyan ---------------- Welbeck -----------

subs: Turner, Bardsley, Mignolet, Larsson, Gibson, Wickham, Ji and not forgetting Gordon, Ferdinand, Elmohamady, Malbranque, Meyler, Colback and Campbell.

some serious strength in depth in there and not 1 player unrealistic IMO

Why have you got Bardo on the bench and Richardson in at LB Poolie? Surely Bardinho being the player of the season and having being a revelation at left back gives him a better chance at starting there than richardson? And why Westwood in goal? Gordon is injured, but we know what the Mig is capable of; but not Westwood in the top flight.

I would be happy with Bassong, Krancjar and Hutton from Spurs. Then I would stop dealing with the slimey bastards.

Said it before and said it again even with Bardo being in top form last season I would still go with Richardson, he would offer us more going forward, allow u to use the full width of the pitch with him being a proper left footer playing it down the line and with his pace would get him and the team out of trouble from time to time. Thought he was getting better there in the first couple of games of the season but what with all the injuries during the season we had to use him all over the place, IMO with a settled bigger squad Brucie will just use him as a left back next season.... I would also go with the Mig but think Westwood will start as the number 1

Not a left footed player in that team Syd,

We need at least one, as poolie says, a lack of width and teams showing us down that side cost us many times last season.

For me, either Ricco, or go after Warnock.

Where is Colback in these team's? Was our only composed midfielder at the end of last season.
Concerning the OP, I would love to sign both of them.

I think in order to give the team more balance and shape, move mcbardo to right back and sign a proper out and out left back. I think Sess will end up playing left midfield as i dont think Larrson would have come to us to warm the bench with the amount of intrest he had.

Have to say, syd, i REALLY don't like that team. you've got O'Shea and Larsson on the right and they won't give us width, then two right footed players on the left. I can see that team going on a horrendous run with the players getting frustrated with each other playing in a system that doesn't work. I like Poolie's team although Kranjar is very suspect. Kranjar plays for himself, he's not a team player at all but i have to concede he'd improve out team as it is currently. I can see Bruce going with Barsley and Sessegnon on the left wing and i predict it'll cost us. The left wing killed us during out bad run. Watching the top teams, it's not difficult to observe how vital the full backs are to providing width - we don't have a single full back in our squad who can provide decent width.

I couldn't disagree more poolie. Bardsley offers everything Richardson doesnt. Heart, passion, will to win and above all, NEVER lets you down. Richardson is a champagne charlie footballer who struts around well but often dissapears in games for me.

As for the Bassong and Krancjar link - absolutely. A no brainer for me. I cant believe Bassong is up for grabs? He looks superb everytime i have seen him. Krancjar too looks class and I cant think why Arry wants rid of either, unless he needs an extension building onto his 14m property on the South Coast.

I personally wouldnt mind Huth for a centre half. Big, strong and intimidating to centre forwards.

Even writing this sounds nonsensical and id be shocked if anyone views would differ. Its widely reported we've made a combined bid of 12m for 2 defenders and a midfielder (the utd trio) can anybody honesty say they'd prefer that to another combined bid for two defenders and a midfielder from the same club (the spurs trio) hutton, bassong, krancjar id even rather part with a few extra million to get those three, All 3 from spurs would go straight into the first team, I don't think the utd three would on merit and hopefully bruce would be bigger than to pick them just because the came from man u

The problem with spurs is they would probs want at least 30 million for them 3 players

The tropheys issue has been argued before. he has more tropheys than much better players because he's at the best team in the country over the last 2 decades. Pedigree? o'shea really? what's he outstandingly good at? he is to man utd what anton is to us (not good enough for the first 11 but good to have as squad cover if there's injuries. Exactly where would he piss a place, the only position id consider him in the top two for would be right back.

Agreed, the Spurs trio would be better - younger and more attacking. I am a huge fan of Krancjar and would love us to get him.

Wes Brown is a top CB IMO and Hutton has been missed, far better than Nedum. RE Richardson, this is the only position I'd play him in, centrally alongside 2 others. He is very effective there, particularly away from home.

no width at all down our left hand side, 2 right footed players that like to get the ball and come inside, we would be easy to predict
