Agree Plym, should have started Saturday with the team that won at Shrewsbury, then he does that 2 nd half saturday and we get back in it.. same today.. we could have won this if he got the team right.. Reid should have been used as a sub.. or rested until the final but now its back to the league 2 again next year.. We have got to have automatic next year or its a failure.. Bye John time to go North.. you did your best..

100% congratulations to Wycombe Rocky because over the two legs you absolutely deserved it. In fact you deserve it for the season you have had and if we had to be beaten then I'm pleased it sends you to Wembley. Just make sure you win the one off game now.

All I can say is I told you so. Sheridan is a dogmatic idiot. Anyone with any sense could see that the team that started today should have been the one that ended on Saturday. When he put it back together, far too late, look what happened. This is down to him in my book and the sooner he gets his coat the better as far as I'm concerned. Tonight was diabolical until the subs. Stats say we had no shots, yes that would be nil shots at all let alone on or off target in the first 45 minutes. These supporters deserve better than that by miles. The only good part about tonights game was that Argyle scored for all the people that followed them there. It gave them something to chear even if it wasn't enough.

I sat in a bar with people around who never go to Argyle but felt they had the right to make a comment. You might guess it wasn;t very complementary. How I didn't get into a punch up was a miracle because despite people telling me to be quiet I couldn't. I hate that kind of Janner. Don't go to Argyle that's fine but in the same vein don't offer an opinion you know nothing about either.

I know it's still raw but I have just popped over to pasoti to see what was on the boards there. The number of posts calling for Sheridan to do one is overwhelming. I don't think this is a knee jerk reaction I think it's what people have been thinking for quite a while now. The bloke shows no passion whatsoever. Despite our first half performance, when the camera showed him he was just stood there with no expression at all. Why wasn't he shouting his lungs out? He is the typical football person who thinks nobody but them knows anything despite the vast majority of Argyle fans being spot on with their selection. He is so dogmatic that in my opinion he scuppered our chances before they started just to make the point he is manager and decides. I just don't want him here next season and if he is then I think the crowd numbers will melt away.

The game was lost the moment Sheridan wrote the team sheet......Wycombe must of thought it was Christmas....all there wishes came true.

I feel sorry for Reuben.....he has played on empty for two months now.....but Sheridan still put him out for slaughter time after time.

It was so obvious that the team that finished Saturday should have started this game.

Sheridan has proved to me that he has not committed himself fully to the cause.......you need to live with your family where your club is.....that's the nature of the job.....living out of a suitcase for nine months is not on......ok it might effect your childrens education but they need a full time dad and should be together and settled........Sheridan surely must of missed a lot of training and hasn't to my mind shown the right attitude or commitment.

This group of players have underachieved.....but have been sidelined at times by poor tactics and decision making from Sheridan....two years is long enough ,he needs to to sit down with the directors/Brent and come to a joint conclusion to move on.

I'm not so quick to want to change managers as you know. As before, I certainly wouldn't want to pay off a long contract; if it's up for renewal, that's a different question.

What Sheridan has shown is an ability and the contacts to bring players in, albeit mostly on loan. We certainly need that ability from him or someone else as it seems to have got progressively more difficult to bring players down here. Will we find that from someone willing to be based in the South West?

The decision with Reuben Reid wasn't that simple. Yes, he's done very little for weeks but he is a finisher, given the right service and that's been lacking recently too.

What is more of an issue is the tactics I think. We had a good run with 3:5:2 before Christmas but I suspect other teams now know all about it and set up to combat it. I saw last night as us needing to score twice, which at our best was achievable, and that argued for starting as we finished on Saturday. Sheridan talked about not conceding any more, which I think was the wrong emphasis. As we've said many times, what's Sheridan's Plan B?

Wycombe were certainly tactically aware. The tall, somewhat cumbersome right back, Bean, was moved into midfield as soon as Banton came on. Their manager had learned that lesson.

In addition to tactics, our best performances were with Kellett and Talbot on board. THD by comparison is a liability and if we are going to go on playing 3:5:2, we need a left wingback as the loss of that channel of attack has badly affected us and the productivity of Reuben Reid and Lewis Alessandra.

It's easy not to "worry about a thing" but presumably borrowing money from the Council to pay off the administration creditors has only kicked the repayment problem a little bit further down the road ahead of us. I suspect we need promotion and the extra TV and gate money to keep the club safe in the medium term.

I thought i'd just say well done to your fans they were superb in both games even last night when 2-0 the vocal support was incredible <applause><applause> I also feel your club deserves a better manager than Sheridan who looked lost snarling and swearing throughout last nights game and gave your players no encouragement at all.

Thanks and many congratulations for making it to the final. TBH however enthusiastic and passionate the fans are, we were beaten before the ink was dry on the team sheet. The assembled players probably had the individual talent to get us out of the league (and some credit has to go to the manager from bringing in some decent players) but the tactics, team selection, lack of passion and team spirit have been lamentable for weeks/months. The only way we will progress is with a new , enthusiastic manager who knows how to manage people. Wycombe knew exactly how to beat us and executed the managers plan to perfection-probably should have been 3 or 4 -0 by half time. Good luck for the final Wycombe-would be great is you could get out of this awful league.

Well, I think if this went to an exit poll there would be no surprises when the votes were counted. Don't worry though notdistant, if it meant paying out anything, even a taxi fare, then Brent isn't going to get rid of Sheridan. I would still go regardless as I've said previously but I really do think there will be those that won't commit any longer to what is being offered.

I appreciate the offer of help BC but my experience with the opinionated non attenders is that once challenged they crawl away very quickly.

Yes we will still be there game in game out next season and I wouldn't normally advocate the sacking of a manager unless we had genuinely 'failed'. However , it seems to me that JS has tried to assemble a bunch of players that are good enough footballers to get out of the division but is unable to inject any passion into them. I cant remember what the exact quote is but success needs 30% ability, 50% determination and 20% inspiration (or something like that) -we probably have the first two but without the third success wont come. At this level inspiration/passion/belief is probably the most important attribute a team needs and however good a footballer JS was , a man manager/motivator he isnt.

mins for Man Uemaining according to the Beeb.

There has been something wrong: we all know that had we played our best, which we saw now and then, more or less consistently, we'd have gone up as champions, never mind automatically. That of course has the caveat that we've had loan players recalled to upset the balance e.g. Kellett, Talbot who we all know about. I see Kellett played 90 mins for Man U Under 21's against Man City on Wednesday....

Question is, is that inconsistency the manager's fault or the players'? Personally, I think there's a limit how much a manager can affect things during the course of a game....

sorry you are out, we know how you are feeling, having gone out to torquay, Gillingham and the gas over the years. in all honesty you lost it going 3 down at home to Wobblers. on the last game of the season , comments were made that argyle played great football at Shrewsbury. good luck next year.

    Cheers atcham.

I listened to the news earlier this evening and the crap that Sheridan came out with. "That's the worst performance I've witnessed as a Manager". In other words it isn't my fault it is the players. Well that's ok then he'll have to stay in the job now. Apart from Sheridan, everyone else knew it was the wrong team on the day. Just in case he reads this that is everyone but you Mr Sheridan including the tea lady. All he ever does is blame somebody else. It's the players and if it's not the players it's the customers e.g. the supporters. I hope he watched the news tonight because once again everyone else knows something he doesn't. They all said it was you Mr Sheridan. Don't bother considering your future because you don't have one here. If you stay Mr Brent might live to regret it when his revenue goes south. Mr Brent and Mr Sheridan grow some and do what's right.

Well, be fair, he's not wrong, it was the worst 45 mins of football from Plymouth Argyle in the last 5 years - and that's saying something!

Because he was arrogant and put the wrong 11 on the park. I have seen worse however albeit not much. That shambles was 50% players and 50% manager. Reid has been injured for months and it was plain for everyone to see that he was done for the season. What exactly couldn't Sheridan see? As far as the end of his nose is my answer because he had his head too far up his rear.

I was thinking though, we are assuming that the team could and should always have played at the same standard as the best we saw e.g. v Exeter and v Portsmouth and that it's Sheridan's fault they didn't always do that. Maybe the players' natural level was the mediocre and the good performances were the exception to the rule!

Keep thinking notdistant. Try something right next time but keep trying. A good performance once could be described as playing above oneself. They did it at regular intervals throughout the season too often for it to be a fluke. Sheridan couldn't enthuse a child on a sugar rush. He doesn't connect with the players or the supporters in any way and never will. If you get on with supporters here then you get forgiven a lot. You need not be the best manager in the world or most successful but you will get decent respect from them. Sheridan hasn't got past first base let alone connected.

Well not having a shot on target in the first half of games must be catching!! Arsenal done that today at Man ure . Not just Argyle!!
Sheridan must be surely on his way soon.. A lot of the stuff on these sites suggest no one wants him here .. except Brent! Not a good fuelling amongst the supporters..

Need another chairman and manager I think. Brent saved us but gone as far as he can go. Where's the new stand, lost so much income in recent years.
