We're in really good form under Klopp now, winning 7 out of the last 8 and only lost once in eleven, which is amazing when you consider some of the fixtures we've had. Certainly living up to the hype thus far and has got some under performing players playing well again and we're now starting to look like a team. Still concerns about our home form, it's worrying that we're looking more like an away side at the moment but we have the big boys to come at home who will look to play which will benefit us.

I have to say, I'm genuinely excited for this season now.. In to a winnable SF and the next stages of the Europa, AND only a few points off fourth.. A big change in our fortunes and I'm hoping we go from strength to strength from here on in, especially going in to January. And let's hope this is not merely a honeymoon period.

Sturridge back, Henderson back.. FLANAGAN almost back, let's hope we get a bit of luck in terms of injuries, because it still could be a fairly good season.

    Klopp <applause>

I think stage 1 is a success. He stated he had to get the players confidence back not just in having freedom to play withoyt fearing mistakes but that set backs in a match do not mean an automatic loss. I think we have seen that transfomation happening over the last few matches.

He has stated that we are still not playing at the level he would like but he has said that is down to lack of time between matches. Good stuff. It will be slower than he likes but if this progress we are seeing is "slow" I'll take it!

Time to take a breath....easy to get carried away after last night. As Luv says it's early days, the signs are positive yes but we still have weaknesses and areas to improve (doesn't everyone).

Now time to get carried away (<whistle>) ....we're ****ing awesome <diva>

What I liked most last night was the performances of those who only a month ago looked really low on confidence. Allen, Origi, Lovren and Ibe look like they suddenly get it. They look like their manager understands them, their strengths and their weaknesses. They look like they are enjoying playing again.

    Exciting times ahead :)

As mentioned above, the single biggest impact he has made is confidence and belief amongst fans and players. We're all on board.

Rodgers was always quick to alienate certain players and constantly had digs at the committee and lack of resources.

Well, Klopp has come in and worked with the same resources and getting more out of them. Top class manager and we're so lucky to have him.

Home form is a little worry but will improve over time. What I would like to see is us playing at home without Benteke up top as we've never looked good with him starting (bar Arsenal). Sturridge ahead of Coutinho and Firmino is mouth watering - keep Sturridge fit and we'll walk top 4.

Home form will come. To me its just a lack of moving the ball with pace around teams sitting back. Most of our players are technically good enough to do it. If they believe Klopp when he says he is happy for people to try things and make mistakes doing it; then it will start happening.

Might be helpful if we the fans are a little more forgiving if mistakes are made when trying. Take some of the pressure off. Cant harm can it lol...(i know its hard due to previous year)

  8. Question; how long does a manager's honeymoon period generally last?

Klopp's been in charge for eleven games so far and only arrived eight weeks ago.

Klopp is bigger than the hype - simply because he refuses to listen to it, believe it or buy into it. He's been very humble, no self promoting or boasts of what he's achieved and he hasn't come in promising the moon. Patience was his first request from fans and media alike. I'm prepared to be patient because he seems to have a clear image of what his football team will look like and we've started to get a glimpse of it already.

I'm also quite excited at the prospect of how good things could turn out, given that he's got a team that lacked confidence and belief in their abilities playing with their heads up instead of down in such a short time. The transformation is almost remarkable. We've had some great results and city aside [where we did play exceptionally well] I don't think we've played particularly great football. What's it going to be like when we have a settled side?

  14. I don't agree with that bit. Other than the pressing, I don't think he has a set way as such. He likes to let players express themselves by playing their natural game. You can't do that and have a vision for us to play in a certain way imo. I think that is part of the reason he is so good, he is adaptable.

I think I didn't explain it properly because I agree with what you've said <laugh>

By having an idea of what his team will look like I didn't mean 4-3-2-1 or 4-4-2 or whatever, I meant he wants every player giving his all and doing the job they're given effectively - even if out of position. His quote was he wants to ''develop a recognisable brand of football'' and that isn't a shape or a 'style' but a team who will do what's asked of them and do it well. Klopp will adjust his tactics to the opposition, he's said as much, so I'm not expecting predictable, more efficient - after all that's what Germans are known for [no racism intended].

  16. So by "recognisable" he basically means the high energy and pressing, never say die attitude. A set way of playing defensively but with freedom offensive. That is an approach Rafa tried to take too imo but not quite as freely <laugh>

Was desperate for Klopp to replace Rodgers a long time ago. I like that most people are jealous of us too as he is universally liked.

I think so - a 'brand' that's gets results and is enjoyable to watch. I'd like to think other teams will turn up knowing they will be pressed - that's an important part of his play - but not knowing what else to expect other than it will be a tough game. At the moment teams are coming to Anfield to defend, Klopp's highlighted that and will look for ways to capitalise and counter that.
