I wonder how many players we will lose in the summer....

Hold on to the bulk of them, we should be alright for the playoffs.

Liverpool leading Sunderland doesn't even raise a smile. Other results don't matter anymore.

Would you feel inclined to stay, when your colleagues act and behave like headless chickens?
This is a club propping up the division and they're showing us up big time <doh>

As I said FML we are relying solely on other teams being worse than us.

    It won't continue.

Yes, but that's becoming impossible. Other teams can't play this bad!

6 defeats on the spin, it's time for McNally to step up to the plate

Remove this rookie manager who is clearly WAY out of his depth at this level ! Has no idea what defending is or even means ! Thanks for last season but goodbye

I've been generally positive about our chances of survival and about AN being the right man for the job, but I'm starting to worry that it's not just inexperience but a lack of ideas and quality? He new, the players must have known, just how important today was and we get this! I'm not sure he can actually coach defending. We aren't offering even a shred of fight now. How many more defeats and heavy defeats can the board tolerate? 3-1 up vs Liverpool seems a long time ago already. I can't believe we'll survive!

    Bloody villa!

    Bah!

    ooh a corner.
fire/hire someone within the coaching structure who should be taking responsibility for teaching them how to defend in a basic way?
Really, the lack of progress in defending after it has been a known issue for the whole season suggests someone is really dropping the ball here, and has failed to do what they need to

I think we've all seen this coming for a good few weeks. Why do we persist in playing 8 at the back? We now have to look at the manager, it's his team his tactics, he can't seem to get across to the team what he wants them to do! Why can't these players get a corner past the first defender? So much wrong there's not enough space on here to mention them all.

Only way I'd sack AN, is if Rodgers or Moyes wanted the role. Apart from that, Can't think of anyone else. Even if one of those 2 drop their standard for us, I still don't think we would stay up.

It pains me top say it but this might be about right. His "natural" philosophy is to "go for it" and take the initiative. Since the hiding at Newcastle we have been more defensive, and increasingly so in recent weeks, to the point where we are inviting to teams to have a go before the first whistle. AN is responsible for this but I can't say I want to see him sacked.
