Are you having a laugh ? Did you not just see that shower of ****e that was just served up ? We in a relegation scrap forget looking up look down . Our record is shocking
There's a general malaise at the club which leads to the players completely freezing as soon as the intensity is raised a tiny bit. No points and one consolation goal so far from London derbies, all against very poor teams.
Talk tactics and formations all you like. We lack leaders and characters on the pitch. We have a clueless donkey (Onuoha) running around in defence knowing **** all about defending. Not fit to lace Richard Dunne's boots. No Derry type in midfield and not a leading attacker like we had in Austin. There is a long way to go until we're able to replace those type of players, and until we do it matters not one bit who the ****ing manager is.
Same old posters turning after a loss. Said before JFH was not the man and when you sell or loan your better players what do expect? Many posters on here bought into giving 'so called' hungry players a chance and when it goes wrong they turn. Any team that starts with Mackie and Polter up front will not win. Don't get me started on Ned because he is a waste of space. Fulham played it like a derby game and were better than us from start to finish. AS many said recently it's a season of consolidation.
It doesn't seem to matter who the manager is, what players we have or what league we are in, we never have a side that plays like a team. Year in year out our side looks like a random collection of strangers who lose all footballing ability the minute they set foot on loftus road turf. I just want to see some effort and some bloody football, you know a pass or two, someone making some space, a bit of movement off the ball, just one f*cking player who looks like he has half clue how to play the game. Seriously we really have had some clueless bloody players over the last 5 years or so, I know the manager(s) shoulder most of the blame but when all you've got to work with are Mr Braindead, the village idiot and the thicky twins maybe it's no wonder no manager can seem to succeed here.
Onuoha has been good the last few games when played in the middle. I agree there are a lack of leaders but I expect experienced players like Perch, Toszer and Konchesky to stand up
Onouha has strength and pace, which he uses to disguise his defensive faults. I stand by what I said, he's a terrible defender.
The last time we looked like a genuine team we had Clint and Shaun Derry in the side, we currently don't have any authoritative figures on the field. Barton was the last player who got anywhere near. Personally I'd bring Clint back in, even at left back if necessary.
Was really looking fwd to the game today.... 5 unbeaten thought we'd do well. But I have to say the defence were made to look very poor by their front 2 whose movement was brilliant Sometimes I think we need to acknowledge that we were outplayed. Yes I agree JFH should have changed things earlier. For me the team have a long way to go, think creatively without Ale we don't have much, Chery, Washington and Khayatti look hungry enough. For me a very bad day at the office let's move on...
This, this, this. Absolutely bang on. I admit there wasn't many options but in hindsight it was a mistake to appoint ned as captain. Quiet as a mouse, and (some) of his displays are hardly going to inspire others. Being old or experienced doesn't make you a leader either. Konchesky gets bullied most matches and perch offers very little in that department. We need someone to take the game by the scruff of the neck and show some responsibility for what's going on on the pitch. Ale tries but he can't do it alone. I literally can't think of a "leader" or someone who will stand up and be counted when the pressure is on in our entire squad.
Spot on Norway. Anyone who thinks Ned is good really needs to watch football. He keeps losing concentration and it costs us. Again today he switched off and cost us. Next season i want another defender.
I can't believe there were really some questions on here in the middle of the week about what Ale Faurlin brings to our game. It was plain to see what we were missing from the first whistle today with Tosser totally static, Luongo not up for the physical challenge at all and Phillips not tracking back effectively (or doing anything else effectively come to that). That weakness in turn exposed our flat footed defence who do okay when the midfield is functioning properly but not when players are able to run at them without a challenge. Agree that JFH got the tactics all wrong including the 10 minute farce when deciding to being on Chery but in terms of producing an effective midfield he really only has one option who sadly is never going to play regularly.
Clint Hill is the only real leader we have, if only he was a year or 5 younger. I fear there is no one in the ranks to really fill the captains role.
