Maggie didn't like the EU either.....but her negotiations weren't a sham like Camerons.

We need anybody but the new Bastards Johnson and Gove.

What we're likely to get is Corbyn. No matter how many Labour MPs revolt, the extreme left wing membership and the unions will re elect him while no proper Conservative will vote for the clown Johnson.

House of Commons Petitions Committee our looking into the EU Petition that has 3.2 million names on it at the moment.....some of the names could be fraudulent.....77,000 names have already been removed....skullduggery goes on even when they've lost.

    Trying to undo Democracy.

Yep I suspect the out voters are registering with false names just to discredit the legitimate petition signers. There is an alternative argument and you try to disprove it...........

Before Maggie came into power this Country was a basket case. The Labour party had cocked it up financially (now where have I seen that before) and we were broke. Inflation was rife and the cost of everything was high including mortgages. Interest rates were diabolical. I was a relatively poorly paid Sailor then. Despite the pain and all of the hate vitriol that was spewed out about her she did not flinch from taking on those who sought to ruin the Country further. That's the Unions who held the place to ransom regularly. When she was stabbed in the back by the jealous people she should have been able to rely on my lot in life was quite good and I felt much better off than when she started. Didn't agree with everything she did but like her or loathe her you cannot deny she changed things. A much bigger character than a lot of the chinless wonders who abound in Parliament now. There are virtually no characters left these days.

I will not vote for a party led by an out campaigner and I won't vote for a party led by a very left wing socialist either. Unbelievably the only party who stood firm and solid in this debacle were the Lib Dems. Could I vote for them as a protest????? Hmmmmm, tempting. I listened to a UKIP bloke on the Tele today on a Question Time programme. Somebody in the audience asked if that was their job done now they had achieved what they originally set out to do. This was something I mentioned further up the page. You can guess the answer can't you now that they think they've sniffed a bit of power themselves. Not a chance. I expect all of the out voters to vote for them on the next occasion. They deserve each other.

It's essential that we have a Brexit government once Cameron is gone so that once it does turn into a debacle, which it will once the Out voters realise that amongst other things, we can't ethnically cleanse the UK by sending all of the European workers and their families home in rubber boats, that Scotland will leave the UK and Northern Ireland will dissolve into the Republic, it will be them and them alone that take responsibility.

In the meantime, I'm not voting for anyone unless it's a new party that undertakes in their manifesto to stay in the EU and thus, if it wins, to over-ride the referendum. Conservative Party Mark 2 (sans Brexiteers) anyone?

Listening to all the news (whilst continuing with project patio) it is interesting what snippets have been aired. A french politician when asked if we could still have access to the EU money market said 'Non' but when pressed about whether we could have an 'iceland' type arrangements he said 'qui' but then went on to explain the the Icelandic nation pay for the privilege to have access to the markets. Funnily enough Iceland pay approx the same per capita as our net contribution. I could easily see a situation where we continue to pay the Eu a large amount of money and also have to accept free movement as a condition of the new trade deal. So we end up where we are now (at best) but without the beneficial bits of the EU!

I for that Distant, as i won't be voting for any one.. I see people have been putting cards through doors around London telling Polish eat to go home and being aggressive to other non british.

We need these people here to keep the country going, who else will do the work? Not many of the Brits will want to do some of these jobs.. We need them and they need us.. We should stay in the EU at what ever cost..

Some of the things i have heard through the press and internet are stupid people not knowing why they voted NO, they though it would change this week and we can send every one home.. Its a total mess.. Keep Boris OUT

Please notDistant don't continue the..... 'remain'....campaign of fear....your talking a load of crap and you know it....it is time to be responsible not continue to be divisive and stir things up because you didn't get the result that you wanted....remember 1.25 million voters more wanted out than to stay in....it will be difficult to succeed if people keep trying to put spanners in the works.

I'm not stirring it up for the sake of it in any way shape or form.

I'm genuinely annoyed, upset and fearful that the UK population can have been so stupid.

You'll notice I'm not the only one in the very small sample here even though we're probably all of an age who'd be expected to have voted Leave.

This is a genuine disaster for the UK brought about by ignorance, prejudice and racism, taken advantage of to further bare faced ambition by politicians like Johnson.

You haven't seen the half of this yet and you'll be wishing you voted the other way.

A majority of this size should not be sufficient to make such a catastrophic decision for the country for generations to come. Although the turnout was high, a quarter of the electorate didn't vote and there are another 15 million who were too young to vote but who will suffer the consequences.

If you think there aren't reasons to despair, let's look at today's 6 o'clock news.

Sterling at a 30 year low.
Bank shares down 15 to 20% with management talking about shifting posts to Frankfurt and relocating HQ s
Share dealing suspended during the day.
Airline & building shares down heavily.
    Both political parties in turmoil.
    Racism on the streets
    S&P downgrade UK credit rating
    Gibraltar conferring with Scottish Nationalists.

I'm sorry that I seem to be the odd one out.....but I genuinely believe that this is a positive move and the best for the UK.

The EU have some fundamental problems and people like Junkers are determined to turn it into the United States of Europe taking central control from Brussels and one day not just political control but military control......there are other Countries who are already becoming second level citizens in the EU......we have just taken the first steps to remove ourselves from this growing horror story.....I just hope that both sides of the argument can start pulling together ....there are some who prefer that it all fails that is despicable.

This is going to take a long time to put right, if we ever get it right.
But you would have thought the goverment should of had a structure for in or out? or were they heavly relying on us remaining?

Now its off to watch the football, hope fully that takes away the depression for most.. but then again. Italy looked good tonight..

What is scaremongering about what is on the News today Plym? Are you saying that the beeb are lying and all the things said previously are not coming true? If you'd got your head out of your arse before the vote you might have seen how probable most of this was. All I've heard from out voters since the day is a smugness that they got it right. What they actually got right was the outcome of the vote and voted on the majority side. I can't see anything else that is right. I see the right wingers are out with the johny foreigner go home stance. When will you people get it into your heads that you cannot get rid of all those nasty foreign people. It is either trade with Europe on their terms now or feck off. Their terms are you accept free movement of people from the EU and pay money in for the privelege of getting nothing out. The other immigrants were disposable before if anyone had bothered to try so nothing has change on that one at all. Notdistant has listed all the **** hitting the fan today so it's no point in repeating that. Thanks a bunch out voters I hope you are all proud of yourselves.

Off to Italy on Friday for a couple of weeks, at least I don't need to worry about finding anywhere to watch the football. Hopefully will win the lottery whilst away so can stay there permanently.
