"And I'll tell you, honestly, I will love it if we beat them. Love it." Long may we continue to defy gravity!!!
2-0. Mally Lord and Waggy. http://thinwhitelinemagazine.com/2014/10/hull-city-vs-manchester-united-division-2-1974/
I remember watching the 4-3 on the big screen at the KC, along with the 2-2 draw at Liverpool. I don't think they've shown any games on the big screen since then, which surprises me as they were both pretty well attended.
Would absolutely love it if you thrash those flashy bastards. If Davies could elbow Ibrahimovic's nose back into shape that'd be most enjoyable.
I was there, and there were thousands of them. All kempton and the north stand, seemed to be everywhere else too.
I was there but don't have any specific memories of the game like I do for some others of that period. I remember being pleased that Mally Lord scored based on the fact that his wife worked in the bank that my mate's Dad was the manager of.
Man Utd crowd was 14,000 more than the previous home game, Sunderland game was 16,000 more. It is a fair bet that the extra 14,000 included a fair few folks who had gone just to see Man Utd while we the extra ones for the Sunderland game won't have included any Hull people there just to see Sunderland.
