I wondered why one of my brothers reads The Telegraph, as he doesn't like cricket.

Agree 100%. None of us on here are likely to rob the BoE and make off with their gold bars.. However, if a van load of theives were dropping gold bars out of their motor whilst being pursued by police, and one bar landed at my feet, I'd be quite tempted to hide it somewhere and return for it later.

I wouldn't even know where to start with making use of a gold bar.

You'll know someone who does. We all know someone who can dispose of a body or a gold bar.

Whack someone over the head with it. Then you've got your body.

When I moved into South London, the Mrs and I lived across the road from a pub. Two of the Great Train Robbers had lived round the corner and Pickles 'found' the World Cup 50 yards away. I swear that if I found some weapons grade plutonium or The Mona Lisa ,someone in there would have been able to move them on for me. The place has gone now but it was quite something in its day.

I'm trying to work out what makes Allarshyte look more greedy: looking to trouser £400k just days after signing a £3m a year contract with The FA, or the fact that during the meeting he had a plate of lobster in front of him yet reached over to grab a chip off the plate of someone on a neighbouring table.

Not me, mate. Didn't do it.

Drives a Bentley, orders lobster and has the moral compass of a politician. What's next a seat in the Lords?

The latter seems like a metaphor for the former, doesn't it?

In their latest bid for realism, FIFA '17 has us selling Harry Kane to every other club in world football in the game's career mode - including Sunderland

This is why I prefer PES, even if the first month with the game is correcting various club names, player names, kits, uploading club badges and creating the various teams that aren't in the game (which in PES '16 meant Dortmund, Schalke, Leverkusen, Anderlecht, CSKA Moscow and Shakhtar Donetsk) and using player create to create all manner of players not in the game such as Maradona, Pele, Cruyff etc etc

At least Kane sounds suitably miserable in the interview.

People are "helped to live with it" by being given such high profile examples of
the consequences. Unless of course you are saying the delusion of
"I'll never be caught if I do it" is another human weakness ...

Here's where it gets really dumb: if you select Spurs in the career mode, Kane picks up an injury in pre-season and your competition for a starting place is...Angel Di Maria.

Who's neither a striker or at Spurs. <confused> No Janssen or even Son? Weird.
Why are you competing with Kane at every other club, but not Spurs?

I'd say this is the dumbest thing EA have ever done...but then I remember the ending to Mass Effect 3.
