I met Harry at a function a few years back (ironically at the Emirates Stadium). I liked him. Really genuine guy, completely obsessed with football.

When The Telegraph contacted Redknapp to put the allegation to him, he admitted becoming aware of his players betting on the match, but said: “Who gives a **** about that?”

Told it would have been against FA rules, he replied: “Oh would it? Oh, OK. But not at that time I don’t think it was, was it?'

Yeah it's funny. I can imagine 'Arry on the blower giving it the nonchalant 'who gives a **** ?' line and then ****ting himself when the Telegraph tell him it's against FA rules though.

I really can't see what all the fuss is about, what's wrong with betting on yourself winning? Was it against the rules then? I recall a game when 'Arry was our manager, we had kick-off and Paul Kitson booted the ball out off play immediately. The bookies had a right old moan.

Wait until Redknapp really doesn't give a **** and does a proper autobiography.
There'll be a few people in the game ****ting themselves at the prospect of it, I'd have thought.
One of his teams betting on themselves to win won't ruffle too many feathers.

Nobody is vaguely surprised at this, but you do wonder how far it goes.
The English game clearly needs to have a bit of a clean up.

To win. Doesn't bother me one bit. I'd never throw a game...if I bet on myself to win...its just an added incentive.
