It's now been sung at nearly every game home and away.

It's been sung by at least 50% of the stadium, some will say the whole stadium

    It's not a football song

    It's clearly referencing irish republicanism

I'm surprised there's been no outcry

    What's your opinion?

It is about republicanism but I can't see it as an issue singing it ...

    It's an Irish folk tune

The issue folk see about some songs is you cant differentiate between IRA fighting in early 20th century and the Ira bombing mainland U.K. In the 70s, 80s etc

This song is about the uprising ??? Yes ?

    Yes

But it's not a football song.

Would some not find it offensive?

I see where you are coming from ...

I'm not sure if you could take offence ... it is not linked in anyway to the IRA (the terrorists many people believe the modern IRA is)

This is a folk / love song linked to republicanism

    I might be wrong ...

Anyone offended by it is a moaning ****ehawk.

Would prefer another verse or so added, it's a bit repetitive, but hey-ho, can't win 'em all.

We are talking about an Irish prisoner...a British Citizen...taking part in a violent uprising against the UK, if not actually being violent themselves and being lamented in song at a football ground

    It sounds familiar...

    It's a love song.

I hear there are stupid add ons. Not heard em myself... But they are unnecessary for such a beautiful song.
