Hi Boys,

Really enjoyed this game from last year on the Newkie board whilst it was up and running for 3 weeks so thought i would rip off the idea since i'm guessing it won't be run there and seeing if anyone is interested.

The rules are below:

- there are 38 questions each relating to one week of the 201/17 season plus 3 bonus questions that will be applied once that specific event has occurred. Each question must be answered before the season begins and no answers can be changed once the deadline has passed.

- the idea is to guess the most unique correct answer and you will be scored on the amount of people who also guessed the same correct answer as you. For example, if the question is "by gameweek 27 who will have scored a direct free-kick?" and 4 of you correctly put Rooney as your answer then you all score 4 points.

- the fewer points you score, the better!

- Incorrect answers will score the SHEEP answer (the most popular correct answer) plus the total number of correct answers guessed by the participants. To carry the example forward, if 4 people guessed Rooney correctly, 7 guessed Hazard, and 3 other unique correct answers were chosen by participants then everyone who guessed an incorrect answer would score 12 (SHEEP score 7 [Hazard] plus total of 5 correct answers [Rooney, Hazard and the other 3]).

- If nobody guesses a correct answer then you will all receive a score of however many participants are in the game.

- Aces are the best possible score, when you are the only person to correctly guess that answer. As a result, the lowest score possible is 41 throughout the game.

- I will reveal the answers and the scores after all games of that particular gameweek have been concluded.

It's quite simple on your part. All you do is answer the 41 questions below andrespond VIA PM. We've found that it makes it a lot more fun if you can't remember what you've submitted for answers plus if you can all see each others answers then whoever answers latest has a huge advantage by being able to pick answers that haven't been submitted so responses have to be kept secret. I'd quite like to get as many people as possible playing in this game (the more people then the higher the scores and the more fun the reveal will be each week!) so if we don't get enough responses on here then I'll open it up to other forums but would quite like to get 25-30 entrants at least. We got 23 last time and it worked fairly well but 40 would probably be the ideal number.

Please note all questions are for the time period from the first day of the season up until the last day of the gameweek for that question, which I will take from the official fantasy football website. Also, all players' positions are taken from the fantasy football website (eg Antonio Valencia may be playing as a right back but if he is quoted as a midfielder on the website then he shall be treated as midfielder in this game). All questions relate to Premier League games and its statistics

GW 15 Name a player who will have scored a penalty?
GW 16 Name a goalkeeper with 6 or more saves in a match.
GW 17 Name an English player that will have scored more than 5 goals.
GW 18 Name a defender that will have been sent off.
GW 19 Name a team in the bottom 6 at the halfway point.
GW 20 Name a team that will have scored 4 or more in a single match.
GW 21 Name a midfielder that will have scored more than once in a match.
GW 22 Name a goalkeeper that will have been booked or sent off.
GW 23 Name a team that will have failed to score in 2 consecutive premier league matches.
GW 24 Name a team that will have beaten Liverpool
GW 25 Name a Defender who will have had 10 or more bonus points
GW 26 Name a team that is in the top half of the table
GW 27 Name a team that will have had a winning streak of at least 3 games at some point so far.
GW 28 Name a player that has been the fantasy player of the week
GW 29 Name a team that will have gone at least 4 games without winning at some point so far.
GW 30 Who will have scored at least 10 premier league goals at this stage?
GW 31 Name a team that has lost to Hull City
GW 32 Name a defender that will have scored more than 3 goals.
GW 33 Name a player with more than 7 assists.
GW 34 Name a player who has 7 or more bookings and red cards
GW 35 Who will have come on as a substitute on 7 or more occasions?
GW 36 Name a player that has had maximum bonus points on more than 4 occasions.
GW 37 Name a team that will have drawn 8 or more games.
GW 38 Name a team in the relegation zone?

BONUS 1 Name a premier league team that will have made it to the FA cup quarter finals.
BONUS 2 Name a team that will finish above Liverpool
BONUS 3 Which PL manager will have been sacked BEFORE the last game of the Premier League season?

What happens if there is no answer? 0 points for everyone? Suggesting 41 points is not the lowest (I'm aiming to score 37 )

Lol, ripped it off someone else so it will be points for every participant, so could be hardly anything or loads depending how many people can be arsed to read the post and answer all the questions

Will do, its basically the fantasy premier league one which is much better and much more comprehensive (the FF league that we set up every year). At the moment it's down for summer maintenance but will post it when its up and running

I suggested to still do Prem league games and just add their fixture in each week and the lad running it said he'll put it to vote

Think they are still doing it but deciding on the rules. Think i'm a bit early as we're still a month away from the league starting so no one has really posted this sort of ****.

 

But what if no GK has made 6 saves in a game so there is no correct answer?

BTW I'm just using this example because of course the first **** to come to Anfield will make 27 saves in the game of his life and then never make another save for the rest of the season, as per.

 

Yup so if there is no correct answer everyone effectively has the wrong answer. So if 30 people played, everyone will get 30 points
