City without Aguero and Fernandinho are not top 4. Shame that those two will return. <ok>

Pep couldn't do it on a wet Saturday night in Leicester.

A back three containing two fullbacks!? Doesn't make sense, if you're going to do the back 3 then they're usually 3 CB's.

Stones is ****, as is Bravo.

Why blame a young lad like Stones when those around him are so **** and his manager is clueless?
If Stones had one (or in a back 3, two) decent, experienced defenders working with him, he would develop into a great CH.
As it is, with a manger wanting to play out from the back with aged, **** defenders and a keeper that would look good in a Monty Python sketch he has no chance of reaching his potential.

Sagna, Kolarov, Zabeleta, Bravo... all pretty experienced to be fair.

Coleman, Baines, Jagielka... again all solid Prem defenders and vastly experienced.

Stones keeps making mistakes, I'm sure he's done that underhit back pass, while a striker is about 5 meters away, trick a few times before. He should have learnt not to do it by now.
Granted that comes back to bad coaching and management and lack of other players telling him not to do it, but blame also has to be placed on the player for not learning from bad mistakes he's made in the past.
TBH I've never rated him that much and he is being placed in a situation that is probably too much for him.

Bravo is still a steaming turd of a buy.

Did you miss the bits where I said in a back 3 or, aged **** ?

He would have had a better chance of developing at Everton but money has taken care of that.

Just seen the Stones back pass, didn't watch 2nd half live.

Bad enough that is was a blind pass, but when you slow it down and freeze it, the moment he passes the ball, he actually turns his head the other way to look out towards the touchline, like attacking players do sometimes when playing pass and looking the other way.

    Absolutely crazy.

He has the makings of a decent defender, but he needs to be playing under manager that will make him into a proper defender. It's all well and good for Pep to have players that can play around with it at the back when in charge of Barca and Bayern who dominate against almost every team in their league where they don't actually need to defend too much so passing is the main attribute (same with Bravo where passing is better than his shot stopping) but in the Prem, don't get the time and space. See every week that teams at the bottom beat those at the top because the general competitiveness of the league is much more than any of those other leagues, mainly because the money available to everyone.

That is probably the most pertinent point at his age/stage of development.
I fail to see anything in Bravo, Hart is a better all round keeper and Caballero is better for what Pep wants. Maybe he just wanted a trusted friend/ally in the dressing room.

Nothing to add to this. It's amazing how the meltdown threads get bite after bite which makes them some of the most popular threads of this site. I did chuckle to myself when Lukaku grabbed a couple of goals earlier #doingalukaku

There is a reason why they are popular, you just haven't realised what it is yet :emoticon-0100-smile

I am thinking of starting a #doingaliverpool to cover things like 90% possession and losing 2-0 or being 3-1 up with 15 mins to go and losing 4-3, much more relevant because it doesn't blame one man (who is doing his job well) for the whole teams failures <ok>

The irony of this post when you had a pop at Karius, who has a poor defence ahead of him and is the same age as Stones.

The whole Bravo and Hart comparisons are the same as Mignolet and Karius.

Hart is STILL making basic errors at Torino but pundits still think he should be at City.

If you're gonna have a **** keeper, at least have one who suits your style lol.
