    Hey all,
Sorry I haven't been on in a while, been busy with well everything to be honest. Hope you're all okay and that everyone is enjoying summer. Also hope Potts is well! Only just recovered from that scare!

Watched the match on Sky in a pub in town and thought we did well to withstand Chelsea, especially in the last 15 minutes when it was non stop pressure. The way I think about it is that all Chelseas subs bench pound for pound, was probably worth more £££'s than our squad bloody put together! Or at least our starting 11!

My man of the match was Begovic personally, as I saw nothing amazing and jaw-dropping from the Blues.

Ethers, well I am worried though. I heard it was a dislocated shoulder, :emoticon-0149-no: Hope he's not out for long. And also Delap, his arms are an asset to the team, stuff his legs Tone would have wheeled up and down in a wheelchair down the sidelines, as long as his arms were still in working order ;)

Mainly, what did we think of Woodgate? I'm not much for the man, all that nightclub attack put me straight off him, so I don't like him, similar to how many don't like Joey Barton, but as a player, I have heard nothing but good reports from Leeds fans especially.

    Cheers,
    Jub.

    Begovic - Star man!
Woodgate - very good, but I dont like the idea of Huth at RB!
The lads played very well and deserved the point, but Chelsea were poor - or did we make them look poor?
Midfield was over run and we struggle to hold onto the ball or find an outlet, but we all know that anyway!
Walters ran his balls off but didnt get much service and I think KJ is just not working out as we would have hoped!
All in all roll on the new signings!

Woody will be signing of the season if we keep him fit. He's an awesome player and he's put in 2 very fine performances so far, long may it continue. I thought KJ played well first half and worked hard but with the lack of service from the wings I think he grew frustrated. Jonny worked hard 1st half and played ok but he looked really unfit 2nd half but still ran himself as hard as he could. That was the best I've seen Bego play. He showed yesterday why he's so highly rated and why he's one of the best keepers in the league. I thought Rory had a good game until he went off, Whelan played very well I thought.

sorry sgt I dont agree that Delap had a good game, yes he won the ball for us lots of times but everytime he did he gave it away...........so pretty pointless really. Hes never been a good footballer and now at his age he should really be playing league 2 football at best. Its getting a bit embarassing him being in the starting 11 IMO.

Kenwyn jones just doesnt look interested enough to me at all and hasnt since he joined. If we keep Woodgate fit I honestly believe he will be THE best CB at the club (and I really rate Shawcross and HUTH). The one thing Woodgate has which Shawcross and Huth dont is composure on the ball.

We played great in the first half but were put under the cosh in the second. We could have done with creating more chances but playing against Tango Terry who's whole game seemed to be doing the very things he constantly whinged about us doing what can we expect. A good result and all the sweeter for getting one over on the five past seven's.

I think we did brilliantly against Chelsea's team of superstars and defended real well. Begovich was man of the match for me and like Smithers says I don't like Huthy at right back as he is awesome in the middle and tends to get drawn into the middle leaving his man exposed. A very pacey winger will give him problems there.

Once again as in the Split games we had no game changers, Chelsea brought on Anelka and Drogba and we bought on Whitehead and Pugh which to be honest were never going to change the game in our favour.

We desperately need 2 attackers now and a younger pacey midfield. Rory did his best but sadly at his age it is now catching up with him.
Jones is the biggest waste of 8 million Stoke have spent. he cannot hold the ball up, can't stay on his feet, gets knocked off the ball way too easy and to be honest purely lazy. Walters ran his socks off again and if we had 2 of him upfront we would be a lot better. Jones's only saving grace is that he is great in the air at defensive situations so for that TP will keep him playing!

I'm fine thanks for asking and I've sent you a PM <ok>
Chelsea game, can't really argue with all said above and to be blunt. Delap should not be playing he barely lasted over an hour and he will stuggle to complete 90 mins.
Woodgate I thought he did really well, didn't panick and overall apart from Kenwynne, "needs a kick in the nut's" Jones I thought we defended brilliantly against a very good Chelsea side. First half, I thought we were exceptional, 2nd half they changed it around which we could not do. And, we more than deserved a pt.

Well done T.P. the player's and we really could do with the Brit rocking like that every weekend. <ok>

  9. Spot on about the Brit Potts, really rocking during the last 10 mins. I think if we had scored the roof would definitely have come off (along with my head!!!).

As for Woodgate, very composed, very solid, quality at the back. Appreciate that he and Upson give us really decent cover in the CB dept, but I don't like to see Huthy at RB and never have.

Tricky one for TP to resolve.

Begovic MOM for me, what a star, just hope we can hold on to him!!!

    KTF!!!!

    Re Huth at right back...

Erm, Oatcakes have you seen S S News tonight? Blackburn reported interest in Wilkinson<yikes>

WHY would we sell him... shocked when I saw it earlier thoughts?

  11. Yeah heard abot this one Potts.

My head says if the price was right then he could go and leave us with the nightmare scenario of Huth permanently at RB aaarrrrrggghhh NO!

Then my heart says, local lad, loves his club, would die for his club (no joke) it would take a massive offer to tempt him away.

I hope my heart is right on this one!!!

Figured that I'm going to appreciate Woodgate as a player.. but not as an all over guy, can't stand grown men that would act in such immature violent ways, as long as he's not another Joey Barton, I aren't bothered. Cannot stand that thug.
I've heard that he always but 100% in, from an Leeds fan, so fingers crossed he sticks at it and may even prove a fans favourite who knows!

Re Wilkinson. Oh dear, thats a worry. If I were Tone, I'd keep him. He's a determined and yes very physical player but he's reliable. You know? He's always there and never let's you down, I remember him bleeding all down his forehead and having a bandage wrapped around if all like Mr bloody Bump! He got a standing ovation from fans and applause. Brilliant moment.

    Potts... replied <ok>

Will read it now thanks.. up late as the wife is glued to the DVD watching 24 it just bores me stupid..

Er, the series NOT the wife <laugh>

Wilko, I hope he say NO! Fully commited player and I honestly think he should be playing at RB, not Huth.
