Well said Syd. Richardson was a class act behind the front man last year. He will be great back up if Sess gets injured or suspended. Bardo is not the answer at LB as he is the clubs best RB. Really Bruce needs to buy someone or we have to give Richardson more time to adapt. I think he got better and better last season as he got a few games but then he got injured. Maybe that's an option sign a LB and keep Richardson as a striker. We also need a left winger too, he could of course play there if Oshea is fit to play LB. I don't know why we don't try Killgalon at LB, he plays there and always looked alright to me?? is he worse than Richardson??

we all cant complain at the job ricco's been asked to do and the different positions he has had to play in but at the end of the day he thinks he is better than he actually is. he takes far too long to pass the ball and in situations like on saturday he will always make that mistake when it would of been easier to to dummy the pass as suarez was already jumping to anticipate the pass. he was caught in possession far too many times but as he proved last season when he was playing left back for a long period he actually started playing well but at the end of the day we need a proper left back

And maybe you think Ricco is ****e but if he does his best and gets picked for the team, who do you blame. Should Richardson say, look, I know you pay me and I know you want me to play LB but I'm not doing it. **** you, **** the team all I want to do is keep chunky and his mates happy.

Murphy I had a go at because I did not think he gave his all, Richardson I support because he does, thats all I can ask of him.

Yes I agree with you that it's not his fault that he is being asked to play LB.

We can all see that it's not a good posistion for him but Bruce has publicly stated several times that he sees LB as Ricco's best posistion.

    Lord knows why.

So, just where do we play the enigma that is Richardson?

CM? We have better there now with Gardner & Colback.

LW? Hmmm, maybe & play Jack in the middle?

Behind the front two seems to be the way forward by the sounds of it. Would we then put Sess out at LW?

Personally I would either use Sess as an out & out CF with Gyan with Ricco LW or Sess as the attacking CM with Gyan & Ji up top.

When was the last time we had so many options?

In my opinion, if he could cut his lapses in concentration out he has the makings of a decent full back...He is quick and is brave enough to go in where it hurts...To change from being an attacking player to a defensive one must be quite hard and requires a different mindset; and for me this is why he has these lapses in concentration which he needs to sort out if he is to truly make this position his own.

Or even Sess at LW with Ricco on the bench to come on at some stage at LW/CM?

Bloody hell, more combinations than subway sandwiches.

    I have a headache already.

Apart from the fact that suarez charged it down more like a rugby player with his hands, Rico got maway with being sent off then decides to let the guy run past him to head home.
Agree that he's been used and abused all over the park but he's not an out and out left back and never will be
best is behind the front man or wide left 2nd, likes to be forward and can get a few when he's on, better shooter than quite a few we have or have had
Would not complain about him for at least 3 games if he gets the winner

Richardson is ****e where ever he plays.
He always makes mistakes not just sometimes.
His passing is **** his tackling is **** his football nous is ****.

Running fast with the ball should not guarantee a starting place when there is very little end product.

If he was this great player some of our brethren keep making out, how come he isn't still wowing Old Trafford?
Yes he shows flashes of skill and hits a goal once in a blue moon, ****ing hell I was never owt but a clogger but scored a screamer of a goal once, because I panicked.

I honestly believe he is a liability.

When he pulls on a SAFC shirt he gets my full support and I always hope he will prove me wrong. He Hasn't for years!

If any player doesn't do it on the pitch I reserve the right to slang them off to my hearts content.
I don't personally know anyone who rates Richardson, and think it is a minority on here that do rate him.
All opinions of course, but I still insist I haven't seen this committed hard working skilful player.

It isn't his fault Bruce puts him lb, but he is to blame for the stupid mistakes he makes which is why he gets the stick.

But I agree, the thing I hate to see is when players don't try and you can't accuse him of that.

Richardson has been a long server for us. Never complained and always gave us his all. LB don't look his best position, but it's just ONE game lads, give him a chance. Apart from about 3 passes, I can't see what colback done in the game, yeah he looked "composed on the ball" whoopidooo. It's astonishing to think that some on here actually Thourght he should be ahead of cattermole lol

He's played out of position yet again as we all keep saying he is not a LB we can all see it so why can't SB? I have no problem with him at LW or just behind the striker but, as long as Bruce persists in playing him there he will get stick whether it is deserved or not.
