Hi all, I have been part of the silent majority here (and on 606) for a while now and I thought it's about time I joined in the (mostly) integlligent debate It's probabaly been said before but this 5 year plan seems to be progressing nicely, if I'm not wrong we are at the start of our 3rd season, and only one league position from our target...not bad going so far. I am happy to say that should we fail to get promoted this season I think we will have still done everything right along the way...and we'll still have 2 seasons left to achieve our goal. We are unique in this league, especially amongst the other "promotion contenders" as we are building slowly and sustainably and without speculative comments from the club; our (the fans) expectations are being managed very effectively indeed in my opionion. If we keep our integrity and play our own style of football, what ever position we finish, I will be a happy man. What a great time to be a Saints supporter!! With regards to transfers I would be inclined to argue that we wait until Jan to assess if we need to bring any new players in. From the Torquay game we can see we have nearly two distinct XIs that can compete - why risk rocking the boat just because we have the money to spend. People say there is a premium to prices in the Jan window, but at the moment we would pay a premium anyway as everyone knows how much we got for Alex. NA and NC (and the scouting team) have been astute in the transfer market so far, in them we trust I'm looking forward to getting down to St Marys for the first time this season on Saturday, I wholly anticipate us teaching Millwall a lesson in football. COYRs!!
