I do think a lot of you are seriously overvaluing players. If Lambert is worth £6m, then Maynard should be worth about £10m. We have just signed Fox for £1.8m so I don't think Harding would be worth any more than £1m etc. Then, people complain saying we would be overspending trying to sign players like Maynard or Rodriguez.

Davis: £500k- Still a quality Goalkeeper, but age is not on his side
    Bialkowski: £400k- Inexperienced
    Richardson: £1 million- Assured right-back
Butterfield: £400k- Although a good player, age would decrease his price
Fonte: £5 million- Better player than Matt Mills (in my opinion) who Leicester bought for £5 million. Good enough for the Premiership
Seaborne: £800k- Inexperienced at Championhip level, although in the few games he has played in he has been very assured
Martin: £700k- Too inexperienced to be demanding a higher fee
    Jaidi: £100k- Past his best
Harding: £1 million- Good enough for top end of championship
Fox: £2 million- Although he hasn't played for us enough to have a good judgement on him, he has premiership experience and IMO is the best left-back in the division
Dickson: £800k- Good player although inexperienced at this level
Guly: £2 million- Moments of magic
De Ridder: £2 million- Havent seen much of him but looks a very good prospect
Schneiderlin: £5 million- France International (albeit at under-21 level) who is one of the best midfielders in the league
Cork: £5 million- How on earth did we get him for 750k?!?
Hammond: £2 million- Although many of us worried if he would be able to adjust to life in the championship, he has been very assured in the middle of the park.
Chaplow: £2 million- A quality, eperienced championship midfielder
Lallana: Not going to even contemplate how much he is worth. Priceless.
Holmes: £1 million- On his day is very good, but too injury prone.
Forte: £1 miilion- Has played in the championship before and has pace in abundance
Connolly: £500k- Quality-wise he is worth at least 1 million, but is too old for a hiher transfer fee.
Lambert:£4 million- Has adjusted to life well in the Championship, but i am unsure as to whether he is Premiership quality.
    Barnard: £1.5 million- Championship-quality striker

Those are my opinions as to how much they are worth.

Not sure how anyone can rate Chaplow at 2 million, I know he's worth more than the 50k we paid for him, but 2 million!?

At the end of the day, player values are changing all the time. A player's value is only what the selling club will accept to sell for and the buying club agree to pay.

This is what I think the players are WORTH. Its strange though, because its not what i'd be happy to see them sold for, which I guess defeats the purpose a bit, but there we go.

    Davis - £500k
Bialkowski - £500K (purely an age thing)
    Richardson - £700k
    Butterfield - £250k
    Fonte - £3.5 million
    Seaborne - £250k
    Jaidi- £50k
    Martin - £500k
    Harding - £1 million
    Dickson - £250k
    Guly £750K
    Hammond - £0.5 million
    Schneiderlin - £1 million
    Cork - £3.5 million
    Lallana - £8 million
    Holmes - £100k
    Lambert - £3 million
    Connolly - £100k
    Barnard - £600k

Looking at it, its a lot less than some people, but I think its realistic valuations. However, like I said I don't think I would accept an offer of that much for any of those players. Reason being, we don't need to sell, and don't want to sell, any of the above. When you have that situation with a seller, then you pay more than something is worth. However, for Puncheon I would accept £750K at the moment, maybe even £500K.

That's me being generous, I think he's awful!! If you had a brain cell you would realise that he can't mark and has no positional sense.

Interesting thread, but our team is worth more than it's parts. How we got Cork for that valuation I don't know..presumably they wanted him off the books but the choice of team was up to him. Connolly has a low value because of his age, but what a striker to get on the cheap. Lallana is priceless to us when you consider the prize money associated with being in the Prem. I'm sure not one of the team want to leave at the moment.

As much as some people seem to really dis-like Harding, i personally think he was a good player for us last season...Just not sure if he can cut it in the champ! However, strictly value wise i think it's around 1m minimum, i mean when looking at the stats all i see is L1 Team of the year! Must add quite a lot.

If we make the prem...I personally think he will be Manchester United's next manager in a few years.(If they dont go abroad, which i believe is a bad move for them)

Love Nigel to bits, but is he smooth enough for one of the top four teams. Their boards can be rather superficial. Ferguson sneaked in and proved himself a great manager at a time when football was still run by proper football men and not accountants. (No need to get upset, Nicola, you are a rare exception).

I've always thought he'll end up being the Liverpool manager once he gets recognised in the Premier League.

Don't be daft. No one will want him as he is English. Thank goodness most clubs are looking to follow the fashion for foreign managers/coaches.
