Given a fully fit squad, hows about.... ---------------------------------------Forster---------------------------------------- --------------------Yoshida-----------VVD------------Hoedt--------------------- Cedric---------------------------------------------------------------------Bertrand ------------------------Stephens----------Romeu--------------------------------- -----------------------------------Lemina-------------------------------------------- ---------------------------Long--------------Gabbi--------------------------------
Personally think it's too defensive and I would rather have Lemina with Romeu than further up the pitch.
I'd like to try 3 CB's but will good 4231 for now: Forster Cedric VVD Hoedt Bertrand Romeu Lemina Tadic Boufal Redmond Gabbiadini Although id like to add that I don't think tadic is good enough and that I only chose Boufal because he isn't JWP or davis ( I rate them both but not as no.10)
------------------Forster----------------- Cedric-----VVD---Hoedt---Bertrand ---------Romeu---------Lemina-------- -------------Boufal/Redmond----------- JWP/Red--------------------------Tadic ----------------Gabbiadini---------------- Going with the normal formation until i've seen more of the 3 at the back. Defence picks itself. I feel like somebody who can get into the box alongside Gabbi for crosses would be useful for AM and i think both Boufal and Redmond can do that. With Lemina in to win back possession i'm willing to sacrifice Davis's ability to keep it for some extra penetration. Redmond is the only RW we have while i think of Prowse as a RM. i've still not really seen Redmond on the right though so don't really know what he offers there. Tadic can't shoot so i don't see what he does on the right that he wouldn't do better on the left, and he's proven under Koeman he works well on that left side. For me he's still a shoe in for that left hand side and one of our better players.
Banter between our two nicest players. At least they know better than to get caught on camera flipping eachother off during an international (It's on reply to a video yoshi posted of a lemur I think when he took kids to the zoo) Edit wrong thread, oh well.
Lemina Lemina Lemina Lemina Lemina Lemina Lemina Lemina Lemina Lemina Lemina Think we could benefit from Lemina playing behind Lemina.
I'd have a flat back six of Bertrand, Yoshida, VvD, Stephens, Hoedt and Cedric. Romeu and Lamina in front of them to sure things up. The attacking mid isn't really working for me so just have Gabbiadini and Long upfront for the hoof. Forster in goal. We're gonna win 1 - 0!
Who we playing? Is it at home or away? Are we 1-0 up from the first leg? Do we need to win to stay up or a point to win the league? Is it a wet November night oop norf? Just checking.
Yep, as FLT said, depends on a lot of other factors but even then depends upon formation, which is probably just as important. I can see why a 4-2-3-1 is favoured but there must be occasions when a 4-4-2 is merited & I definitely like the 3-4-2-1 --------------------------------------Forster----------------------------------- Cedric ----------------VVD------------Hoedt--------------------Bertrand- ------------------------ Romeu --- Lemina ------------------------------ (with this back 6x we should be very capable of holding any attack & only mistakes / opposing tactics would prompt a tweak) ----------3 from Tadic/JWP/Davis/Boufal/Redmond/Long---- (I'd love JWP to be able to command the central role but I think Tad / Davis / Long deserves a go) -----------------------------------------Gabbi-------------------------------- or --------------------------------------Forster---------------------------------------- ---------Cedric -----------VVD------------Hoedt------------------Bertrand--- --Tadic/JWP/Boufal------Romeu-----------Lemina -------Redmond/Long--- -----------------------------------Long-------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------Gabbi-------------------------------- or --------------------------------------Forster---------------------------------------- --------------------Yoshida-----------VVD------------Hoedt--------------------- Cedric---------------------------------------------------------------------Bertrand ------------------------Romeu------------Lemina --------------------- -----------------------------------Tadic ---- Redmond ----------------------------- ------------------------------------Long / Gabbi-------------------------------- ****e; just realised how difficult this manager lark is !! Back 4 or 3 is friggin easy & the central holding 2 same but thereafter becomes a nightmare with the personnel we have. **** this; I'm gonna leave it to the professional's & go have a beer This has given me a headache
Forster Cedric - Van Dijk - Hoedt - Bertrand Lemina - Romeu Gabiadini - Davis - Tadić Long Manolo and Shane can switch positions during the match.
Who are we playing? I don't think there's such thing as a 'best team' for every game. I'd pick a different side for City away than Bournemouth at home, for example.
I'd like to see this. Or the OP team with Stephens replaced by Davis, Tadic or JWP Clearly our strikers are struggling on their own, Redmond needs dropping and we need to think of a system that Boufal can work in
