Everything has broke this year. Fridge died... Dishwasher died... Had to replace both this summer. Washing machine works although can't go far from it, it stops working periodically and have to open and shut lid to get it to restart. We don't have much luck with appliances lately.
Might had smoke coming from it when it was on... its one that's been here since place was new as found the manual in previous owners starter pack so about 10 years old. Annoyig thing is because its integrated cost more to buy and then pay them to remove old one and fit new one
I'd pay someone and drink a beer. Problem is I couldn't do it if I wanted to useless at this diy stuff.
Our new bathroom is supposed to be finished by Friday, have not seen hide nor hair of the fitters for two days. It took 4 of them to lift the bath up the stairs after the Mrs, (M), chose the heaviest bath she could find. I think after the exertions of shifting the bath they are all off sick with bad backs, (Coutinho style), still not paying a penny until they have finished, despite suggestions I might want to pay them an interim payment to cover costs to date. As it is supposed to be a two week job I suspect they will not pay for the materials until 30 days after delivery so they should not have any cash flow problems.
yeah they'll disconnect old one and take it away. Have to pay bit extra but worth it for the hassle to be honest. DIY isn't my strong point
I haven't been to a laundromat in over a decade but I read a really cool trick that I'm sure everyone at the cheese already uses... Apparently if you use the kind with those arms that you put coins in and then push in, you can fool them really easily. If you take coffee straws and press them into the coin slots and keep pressing them in as you push the coin arm in , you can fool it into thinking you paid. Not sure if this works with other similar coin operated stuff. . Don't really feel the need to steal from a laundromat, but I'm curious to try if it really works.
Not sure if you know or not - we've not long had a new machine - but you need to run a special programme first with the machine empty before you put a proper wash in. Read the manual
Like with the fridge... We had to run something ridiculous like 6 gallons of water through it before we could use it.
