I mentioned him because there's little difference between him criticising people who think the team should do badly against his criticism of one of our ex players, whilst he was here and playing. No difference.

what a totally ridiculous comparison - that's like you saying you don't think Kingsley should ever play again is the same as you hope Hull City lose the game - seriously , give up, you've lost, move onj

Saw the thread with Craig's name on it and fully expected something as whiney as this. Another who can't differentiate between people being disappointed that the club is a sorry mess and actively wanting that to be the case.

Bruce was a consistently good performer. Kingsley on the other hand has played a handful of games and been found wanting in every single one. If Kingsley had half the defensive ability Bruce had we probably wouldn't be so **** defensively.

You are literally the only person who belittled Bruce in his time here and questioned his ability. I notice you have zero support on your constant stream of ****. Says everything.

I thought Alex Bruce was League 1 standard at best, which was why I found it so frustrating he kept getting in the team ahead of Faye, Macca and Maguire. He could tackle, but that was about it, there was nothing else to his game and I could see why Faye got so pissed off.

I'll put my neck on the line and say I'd pick Hector too out of the pair, but I'd play Mazuch over both of them.

I would pick bruce. If we were bottom of league two.

get your facts right - ps I've also got the support of every manager in the Prem, every manager in the Championship, even his present League I club have dropped him - he was a last minute thought on transfer deadline day to get a bench warmer, nobody else thought he was good enough, except you - he had a trial at Sheff U , rejected, he had a trial at Bolton, rejected , even Bury wouldn't give him a proper contract - seriously you really need to stop this obsession you have with him, you're even worse than Chazz with Meyler, and that's saying something

We don't count because our opinion differs from yours? That's a touch arrogant.

Kingsley hasn't set the world on fire, but he's come from a decent background and with time I think he'll come good. It's been a nightmare for a lot of the new signings, we've hardly given them a platform to showcase their talents. We have two Chelsea loanees who have been classed as first team players by their parent club, yet they've come to us and looked bang average.

As for Bruce, he might have have done the have-a-go hero thing, but the only reason he got into the PL was because his Dad was the manager. He'd been released by Leeds (sic), got promoted with us and after that never looked as good as Chester, Maguire, Macca, Davies or Dawson. He was released by us and ended up in League 1. Had he not signed for us, do you really think he'd have ended up in the Premier League? I find it hard to believe. Fans may differ on their opinion of his ability, but there's good reason he didn't sign for somebody higher and another why his contract here wasn't renewed. We even have testimonial from a player claiming nepotism, but people dispute this as bitter ramblings, even though it was patently obvious at the time to many.

I wish I shared your optimism about Kingsley mate.
The Chelsea lads might be bang average but kingsleys attained nowhere near that.
I hope he comes good. But I struggle to see anything, as yet.

I haven't either, I thought he had been poor so far, which is disappointing when a player drops down from the higher league.

In the same way Meyler has tightened up the midfield and suddenly Larsson looks better, maybe playing alongside a wreck like hector hasn't helped.

Larsson does look better, but he does seem to disappear from games a lot, I'd expect him to have more of an impact on games at this level. A win today might give us a much needed confidence boost. We need to get the first goal, after we score we always look better. Might be something to do with the age of the squad.

He was nackered on Tuesday playing on the left of the three in. midfield. He was covering loads of ground as we had nothing on the whole left side.
Preston looked like a well drilled side where they knew where they should be. We looked like a team just strung out along the back and midfield.

He got into the PL because he was a part of a successful side that earnt promotion to the PL.

His contract wasn't renewed because he was the son of Steve Bruce. Ehab didn't like Bruce. Hard done by player would rather snivel and claim nepotism than earn his place in the side shocker - well, whatever next.

He's 33 now, in the twilight of his career so with most players that age they start dropping down the leagues. See Larsson.

Bruce was also injured last season, it takes time to recover from injuries. He joined Bury for a game or so to help them out.

As stated by numerous posters in support of Bruce - He never let us down and was a consistent 7 out of 10 performer. He was also tremendous at winning a tackle.

We'd be a better team than we are at present with an Alex Bruce in our defence.

    Simple really.

Always easy to slag the mally lords, Bruce's, Meylers than see all clubs like us need those type of players.
Faye was a **** for saying that, cheap shot. Abdi was great for that one season but he was completely ****ed the next. He played against brighton in the cup and was horrendous. His legs had gone completely.

If a player is resoundingly not good, no issue with criticism (see Kingsley) justified.

When a player, regardless of manager. Puts in a shift, never lets down the side, yet is still criticised by people - then yes, that's a problem. **** knows what Sterling and Sharon are on? Maybe they should stick to posting when sober?
