more than a probable Davie, but this time rather than back them put them up for sale and recruit in jan window
Looked at some number crunching (trying to forget about work in the morning and our two teams tame showings this weekend). Based on the last 6 seasons (why 6, well why not) the average points for 2nd is 88.5 and average points for 6th is 74.5. With 10 points on the board and 30 games to go that means you'd probably need around 2.6 points per game for automatic promotion and 2.15 for play-off places. Sunderland are a decent side who should pull themselves clear of relegation but any talk of top 6 this season is becoming sadly fanciful. So frustrating Short appointed a cheap option and then failed to back him at all (to be clear I think Grayson did well in the market for the money he had), it's already too late to fix anything for this season.
That top row is hideous. I'd be very happy with anybody from the 2nd line, apart from, Stockdale, then I'd be a bit, meh.
Who is this Seb Keenan? His odds are longer than mine! I'd go for Seedorf personally (just a hunch), get him to bring Wim Jonk and his mate from Ajax to run the academy with a free reign.
Another relegation will ruin us. We need a manger that will give these players a lift, some confidence and stamp out the lazy attitudes. In my opinion we have to go for Roy Keane or Mick McCarthy.
