I think we may know the England team a little better than you mate. 403 may not be enough even for a draw if the Aussies get off to a fast start.
I’ve googled it myself.and found out It’s only for lbw. However someone was deemed out cause the hand not holding the bat hit the ball then he was caught . Why do they not use video evidence all over the field
They use it for contentious catches as well. They use snicko to see if there was a sound off the bat/glove. The one you'e referring to hit the bat hand. He was out banged to rights unfortunately.
On the tv it showed it hit the hand not holding the bat. You see that’s the trouble is you can’t watch it live unless you have bt broad and subscribe to bt You can’t really subscribe cause the money is not worth it. You don’t get enough for your money.
I'm not sure. The Australian coverage showed it from about four angles and it was clear it hit the bat hand. Admittedly, the clip the video ref/umpire looked at made it look 50/50 but it was definitely the bat hand.
Wasn't it a contentious one back in 2005 when Harmison took that last wicket when they needed only 2 runs to win? Sure it hit his hand when it was away from the bat. To be honest I am not clear on the rules like.
England Assistant Coach Farbrace said our players stuck well at their jobs. Seriously? WTF!!! 1 wicket in 3 sessions.
I’ve got bt fibre and got my sport free (thanks @Nads ) although I’m not exactly enjoying this performance. The assistant coach when asked about getting the ball around their ears he said “we don’t bowl like that” WELL THAT WORKS. MAYBE WE SHOULD!!!!
I would not be too critical, there is no doubt the pitch has a lot to do with what we are seeing, let's wait and see if the Aussie bowlers can do a lot better first , I was very impressed with everything that Overton did, he was the only one they looked uncomfortable with , should have been given the new ball, but that is not the way it works
There has been too much of this from both sides, a little while since I played but I do remember hating it when almost every ball was going to hit the stumps, note when a batsman ducks under a high ball he often smiles , when a ball just misses the wicket he never smiles , why ? In my day it was top of middle and off
