Despite reports linking Ben Woodburn with a loan move away from Liverpool this month, Jurgen Klopp says the gifted teenager will stay put for now.

 

So, Klopp confirms Karius as first choice keeper. That suggests we're not in the market for another, I suppose.

The whole no value in the January window thing is bullsh!t. Ridiculous money has been spent in the summer and has been spent in January, makes no difference


As for our lack of activity, I somewhat agree about waiting for the right deal or personnel in the summer, but it is such a massive risk to say we hope Mane, Firmino and Salah don't get injured at all. Personally I think its worth the risk to get someone in now

Moreno coming back and Robertson not told he's taken the position. If anything Moreno getting back in when fit.
Woodburn training player for firsts so not going anywhere.
No new signings so front 3 must stay fit.

 

It looks like we are taking that risk as those wanted are not available now.

If it works out and klopp gets who he really wants great.

If not.. well... I hope Europa is enough to attract them.

 

It’s kind of true though. A lot of players are cup tied for Europe.. the players you may want are playing for clubs already competing towards the top and don’t wanna lose them etc

 

In terms of a quality keeper,who could we realistically get this window

tbh I would like to think that the karius stuff is giving him every chance before the final call to buy. .. but..... imo when klopp says stuff he usually doesn't lie about things so I just think we can forget us buying another keeper and especially the massively expensive ones.

If mingolet spits the dummy and goes then klopp might buy an old lad to be third choice.

I just don't know.

I kind of take what klopp says at face value.
