Chelsea fan in peace here...just wondering what sort of achievements this season would constitute success in the eyes of a gooner. As you will have heard all too much..its been 5 years now...would just the carling cup be enough?

This youth policy and desperation to have an entirely French back four is admirable, but surely there is a time when the trophies have to start rolling in? I wanted to know whether the least significant of the domestic cups would assuage your thirst for success, or is the prem/fa cup also a requirement?

And finally, what wil happen if Fabregas leaves at the end of the season?

    Fabregas wont leave......

As for Carling Cup i think that will be a start for us, we could go on to getting the league after you PLEASE take 6points of united..... now you got torres surely thats a possiblilty.

very subtle wum... nicely done. carling cup will stop people going on about 5 years without a trophy and pundits will have to learn something else to say. that is the main significance of winning it. we are no longer desperate to have an all french back four because we already can field one <ok> and if fabregas leaves we get at least £40m for a player who we signed for free and got almost a decade of service out of... promote one of our many talented young midfielders and invest the money elsewhere. thanks for your concern <ok>

It's really not that subtle at all. And, yes, of course the Worthless Cup will be plenty - 'if' we win it. Stupid questions from 'just another Chelsea WUM'. I'm trying to work out an acronym for them - JACW doesn't really work.

If you think this is WUMMING then you probably belong on an Arsenal specific forum, because you're clearly unable to enter into a genuine fan-to-fan discussion. The fact that I am a chels fan is all that you have to go on. Pathetic.

    QUADRUPLE AND NOTHING ELSE!
in reality the carling cup, which we SHOULD win will be a stepping stone and stop the pressure so much
It'll allow our players to get the feeling and knowledge how to win and finish these things off and theres no desperate need for a trophy, etc
And torres won't be happy for to long when he realises he went from carrying a rubbish team in liverpool reliant on gerrard, to carrying an old declining time relying on lamps!

Not true, the general tone and wording is also someone not simply asking a question. Maybe you just can't help yourself, "an entirely french back 4", the question as to whether the Worthless Cup would "be enough". To someone who is a football fan, as opposed to a Chelsea 'fan', this would be a non-question. It is affectionately known as the Worthless Cup, but it's a cup - anyone but a spoilt Chelsea/ManU/Arsenal(?) fan would understand that. The fact that you bring it up makes you a 'spoilt Chelsea fan' - so post-Roman.

I'll tell you I'm only happy winning at least 2 this year as long as you agree with the obsession of massively paying over the odds for players is also quite desperate.

    -----------------------------------------------

£40 M???? Carroll at £35M and an injury prone Torres at £50 M........we will get £100 Mil easy......and I agree Wilshere, Ramsey or Nasri in that role....................but he will not go anyway
