This is where the season gets serious and Wenger used all his tactical nous on Sunday by getting Arsenal to play like like a team Pogba's in order to fool city into a false sense of security so they can begin their charge into the top four.

It takes a truely talented midfield to make Abamyang (the unspellable one) look like Frannie Jeffers so <applause> Granite Xhaka!

There was an interesting statistic show that in 21 years Wenger has a net transfer spend of £371m and in 21 months Pep the Genius has a net spend of £380m (while already having Kompany, Aguero, Stirling, Silva and De Bruyne at the club)...if that statistic had been about any other inequality I would have been outraged but as it's you mo fos I couldn't find it in myself to give a feck tbh <whistle>

Your main tactic is to be less **** than you were against Abba FC and City which, to be fair, ain't gonna be difficult.

These are difficult times at Arsenal...
I try to understand what has gone wrong but I then remember I really really couldn't give a feck and continue laughing my extraordinarily large ass off at how good your players make Sissoko look!

Everyone knows how well Arsenal finish league seasons so I fully expect you to give City a hard game.
Mr Unspellable and Mr Unpronouncable (from United) must surely come good...I was gonna say that about Iwobi and Chambers but then you'd all be certain I was just taking the piss :bandit:

Arsenal TV was very funny last night as was listening to Garry Nevilles punditry of the cup final
"RUN YOU FECKERS...YOU ARE MAKING THAT KID CRY YOU DIRTY MOFOS"
WHAT it lacked in analysis it made up for in <laugh> value.

Liverpool and United can't fail to win 2 of the CL places which leaves the London trio of Chelsea Spurs and Arsenal fighting it out for the last place.

Spurs have a difficult run in as they have to play City and Chelsea and obviously can't win at Wembley so Arsenal and Chelsea are the favourites so with that in mind I do not understand why arsenal fans are so negative.

The game is on Thursday and you have never lost a premier league game on a Thursday night so the omens are good.

I can’t help but feeling this game doesn’t really matter. We won’t make up 10 points in 11 games.

    It’s europa league or bust.

I’m honestly much more interested to see any protests / the overall fan reaction to the Sunday debacle.

It’s time to voice our opinion on the manager.

If/when City win, the gap between us and them will be 30 points, 30 ****ing points. <yikes>

Not looking forward to this game one bit. Gonna predict a loss in the vain hope that I might jinx us into a win ...

I'm expecting us to be a lot better so we can save a little face. But it's still very much a big outside chance we get CL. Sad to say it but the league cup was our best chance of silverware. We just don't look near enough consistent to make an impact.

Fernandinho being injured and us being at home gives me a tiny glimmer of hope because for me they don’t have another player like him in their squad, the guy has been running that midfield more or less on his own at times, without him there we should be able to create some chances, only problem is how many will we let in at the other end.

Crazy that Wenger is forcing this 5-3-2 on us at the same time as paying Ozil £4bn a week and sticking him out wide.

He needs to play ACM and be the director of attacking support to our wide attackers and to Aubameyang.

A decent manager would sort out our defence but no-one can fix the ****e we have in central midfield. Get a decent manager, play 4-2-3-1, play Ozil ACM, get Campbell back and out wide opposite to Mkhi, buy two quality central midfielders and we'd be a lot better. Then worry about buying more central defenders later. Limited defenders can make a solid defensive unit with sufficient coaching.

    It's totally batshit.

Ozil should be sitting in the number 10. position.

With the current squad I would play..

    -----------Wilshere------Ramsey--------------
    -Mkhi---------------Ozil-------------Wellbeck-
    -----------------Aubamyang-------------------

But Wilshere and Ramsey have to be drilled in how and when to sit and go forward.

Kolasinac is another possible option for the left side.

Lacazette comes in when he's fit.

Also Mustafi and Kos at CB with Bellerin and Monreal fullbacks. Chambers and Holding should be nowhere near the first XI

    We would get thrashed!
With our squad I would go
    ------------------Cech-------------
    Bellerin--Mustafi-Kos-Nacho
    ---------------Elneny--------------
    ------Ramsey--------Jack-------
    ----------Mkhi------Ozil----------
    ------------Aubameyang---------

Ramsey and Jack being positionally disciplined

You are playing to win in the hope that Spurs can
overcome the then 17 pt gap to Citeh with 10 games
    to go. ;)

The problem is we are struggling with creativity in midfield. Elneny cant pass and cant deal with being man marked.

Against a team that presses he gets found out.

I am not expecting him to create anything. I am expecting him to play a pure DM role. Get the ball off the defence and keep the ball moving (sideways or not). Cover the spaces left by the full backs and Jack/Ramsey. Leave the creativity to everyone else in front of him. He's the best "option" that we have to do this.

We will lose the ball a lot and we can't continue this business of being caught upfield and chasing back like numpties. So if I were Wenger I would be telling Elneny never to get beyond the play. Focus on defending/possession.

I would do the same. He needs some close coaching to keep it simple and cover the back 4. Break up play and lay the ball off as soon as possible. Wenger needs to change things up as the current strategy isn't working for the existing players.

Arsenal have put out a plea for fans to help shovel snow at the Emirates Stadium.
Their press officer said "If enough fans arrive to help we can shovel enough snow onto the pitch so that the match is cancelled." :bandit:
