Well chuffed with the result Sgt. I thought Thun were carp but you can only beat who you draw well happy tonight mate.
Let's hope for some new player's NOW that we have got this far <ok> I honestly think we have to sign a couple at least.

Upson, I was pleased with, he tired but that's fair enough.
Walters ran his butt off, again.
    K.J. scored two goals..
    Whelan hit a corker..
Bring em on let's see how far we can go now.

Thought Jonny worked hard but he found it hard to get in the game at times, but that's not his fault. Thought KJ played well, he put in a decent shift. Thought Pennant was excellent when he was on, also thought Soares looked lively if a bit chunky.

There's no pressure on us. We've just got to give it a go and see what happens :emoticon-0100-smile

I thought KJ was awful! he made very little runs and left Walters to do all the work! he lost the ball on countless occassions and thats how his first goal came about! He 2nd goal was class and was probably one of the few positive things he did all game. He recieved the ball well, laid it off before he lost it and bust a gut to get into the bos - finally finishing with a fantastic header! That shows the class he has, but 1 great thing in 90 minutes makes him even more frustrating!

    True steve.

Not really educated enough on these teams to give feedback. But it could have been worse?

Not in terms of miles to travel no - I don't see how it could have been worse.

In terms of quality they are all reasonable sides with good european pedigree.

I'm pretty happy with the draw for the Potter's lads <ok>
All three are top teams and it will give STOKE the chance to have a real go at them.

I won't be going to the away legs so, that really won't worry me personally.
Might effect the team though i.e. Airmiles..

Really looking forward to those games and well done T.P. and the team last night.

It could have been worse but Dynamo Kiev is a tough place to go, Turkey and Israel are very intimidating atmospheres we'll have to cope with. I'm really gutted with this draw :(

Tony Pulis' side take on Andriy Schevchenko and his team-mates in the Lobanovsky Dynamo Stadium on Thursday 15th September.

The fixture list announced by UEFA for Group E then hands the Potters successive home matches against Besiktas and Maccabi Tel-Aviv.

The Turkish Cup winners visit the Britannia Stadium on Thursday 29th September while the Maccabi game takes place on 20th October.

After a trip to Israel in early November, City will welcome Dynamo Kiev on Thursday 1st December before finishing the group in Turkey.

Stoke City v Besiktas - Thursday 29th September (21.05 CET)

    Stoke City v Maccabi Tel-Aviv - Thursday 20th October (21.05 CET)

    Maccabi Tel-Aviv v Stoke City - Thursday 3rd November (19.00 CET)

Every one Sgt?? Effin nell that's ridiculous. Feel sorry for the Stoke fans who might travel it's ridiculous they have fallen that way.
Tough even at home but, I will enjoy it Sgt.

Why don't you like the draw Sgt, just wondering mate. The bigger the team, the better IMHO.

Would've preferred something a little easier. Also I would've like someone like Shamrock Rovers, it would've been a good excuse to go over to Ireland. Plus we could've faced a bigger team against say someone like Lazio, but also stood a very good chance of beating them. Besiktas are a quality side, but it doesn't excite me as much as a tie against Lazio would've done.

Absolutely chuffed with the draw, sure the best hope of catchin the away legs will be to join the army but the draw is great for us! I reckon there are a few players who were waitin to see if we made the groups and weve got a decent line up. Players will want the chance to play them. Idv taken shamrock under 11s, we are Stoke and we are in europe, love it!
