    Steve
Sorry mate, I THINK you have missread my comments?
I didn't attack the poster I said I'm NOT 90 and I object to that comment that's all.
I do think T.P. should look at himself and we have a right to say it because, he's saying one minute.
"Everybody at this club knows we need player's"
But, as I've said above, unitl now he's NOT doing anything about it and I don't like the fact he's leaving it late.

No offence taken by me Steve, and I didn't mean to offend anyone let's forget it, we're all wanting the best for SCFC <ok>

What I'm loving is people questioning whether Pulis could take us further all throughout the second season and beginning of last season. This was before we got to the FA Cup Final and, now, the group stages of a major European tournament. I cannot actually believe I am reading "I can't see him taking us further as a club" in this thread, whilst he genuinly is moving us forward as a club.

I get that at times he fields teams that seem scared to do anything except grind out results, but I'd rather keep doing what we're doing right now than be like Blackpool or Burnley and get relegated because we wanted people to be in awe of us being different.

Of course Pulis is taking the club further. I mean we were in the Championship, then the Premiership, then the FA Cup Final, now Europe. No one surely (not even you Nick!) can disagree with that, the point is (in this thread at least) that Pulis doesn't seem to take the views of the fans more seriously.

I agree that his tactics can be negative, i.e. try not to lose, sign 56 defenders etc. but look where we are. Surely he's doing something right. Love him or lothe him at least we're not following the Hull master plan of paying ridiculous wages to average players, getting relegated then being stuck with a massive wage bill in the Championship. I think that's the reasoning behind the wage structure stance. We are never going to be a club that pays 100 grand to a player so why try to find a few more Jonny Walters?

I feel the same as everyone about the lack of signings at the moment but let's just wait until Sept 1st eh?

    Morning Steve, not upset <peacedove>

Re that post of mine it should have been in two separate posts.

    Statements were unrelated.

I will try and behave - honest, in a good mood today as it's Pension Day so I can afford some gruel for dinner

    Me too lads...
HOW do you type a great big SORRY for being so negative? <peacedove>
    I've said it twice prevously.

I WILL WAIT UNTIL THE END OF THE MONTH. Let's see what happens i.e. player's coming in!
I was trying to be "Constructive" with my own comments.

Off topic, fantastic result last night T.P. we didn't need to do that much to get through but it was nice to see four goals going in.

Yes. He does. Just because he isn't signing players (which I am annoyed at) doesn't mean he doesn't care.

Most interviews I've heard he's always praising fans. Saying how winning in Europe was a great reward for the supporters enthusiasm and passion throughout the season and F.A Cup especially.

I know people may say I have "rose-tinted" glasses. But I honestly don't see what all the moaning is about. He's a top manager in my opinion.. he's turned players lives around! We have no debt (unlike many top teams etc).. our stingy chairman gives him a shoe string budget to work on.. we have no "in-camp" troubles (arguments with the gather) we got into the final of the FA CUP FFS.. and now were looking comfortable in bloody Europe! I don't think you can really argue about the triumphs he's achieved recently.

Re his attitude.. I dont think he's THAT negative.. just because he doesn't jump for joy and sing and dance everytime we win doesn't mean he wasn't pleased etc. And when people complain about him praising the other team.. there is nothing wrong with that!!! If the other team deserve credit.. he gives them it?! Its called being decent and honest and sporting... and nit Alex "we-excelled-ourselves-what-a-fantastic-United-performance-we-out-played-them" Ferguson.

    Hmmmm... "tin hat on?"

    Jub :)

Not sure having no debt is anything to do with TP?

That must be the stingy chairman that has given him 80 million in 3 seasons which resulted in Stoke being the 3rh highest net spenders in that period!

I suppose, Kitson, Tunny, Flip Flop Gate Faye, Fuller slapping our Capatin in the centre circle at West Ham and the flying naked headbut scenario with Beattie must be a reflection of our "team spirit"!

However, I have to agree that results to date leave no one in a position to question TP. After the window closes (signings or not) and we are in the thick of the prem along with the "Europa League" proper it may or may not be a different topic of conversation! Lets hope it positive!

    <cheers>
I totally understand that P_P. This will be my last post too. I've found this 'forum' to be just 5 or 6 guys chatting about how much better they would be at the job than Pulis, and if anyone disagrees they get shot down. It's way too clicky and new people always seem to be accused of being plastico/covfox as soon as they post their first article and it doesn't fit in with the anti-Pulis brigade (as I was by you Nick too).

    Thanks! UTMP! Cherrio...

Was not going to post again till ther 1st

But to all you guys having a go at me.

GROW UP and realise two things:

    1. If you cannot take it DO NOT dish it out
    2. Do NOT be so bloody silly and ACTUALLY read my posts rather than over reacting to what you think I wrote

    Oh three things

Children should be seen and not heard.

Oh and another thing - Steve, if I am such a terrible human being - kindly find yourself another footnote rather than my particularly fine piece of alliteration.

i been a stoke fan since 1961 and i watched the greats and the not so greats here at the brit and at he beloved victoria ground. I love my club and i would die rather than disrespect it , however TP need to move int he transfer market and get us 2 central midfield players who can pass the ball. plus we need a goalscorer, not some poor mans john ritchie wannabe......JONES- well beattie was better. If we dont make theese additions we may struggle. But my love of this club never will.

PROUD TO BE A POTTER AND A RUGBY FAN LOL
