Here's hoping Shane Long is a starter from now on. Carillo has had his chance, offers nothing. Doesn't even win much in the air. Gabbi is too much of a slouch, he just jogs around and never tackles/ pressures the opposition.

On another note, Wigan have got some right ****s following them.

 

Could see the players we struggling in the first half; not surprising. Second half so much better. Uplifting performance. Big season finale now.

 

I'm running the London Marathon on Sunday so would definitely prefer 21st!

 

So who are we hoping for in the semi?

 

Chelsea for me, but we are going to be pretty big underdogs no matter who it is.

Very disappointed.

Sat down in my mancave with a nice cold beer to watch 90 minutes of my beloved saints.

Perfect 1st half, resolute, some misplaced passes, not a shot on goal.

2nd half, New beer, New team. Attacking football and 2 goals. Feel cheated I only saw 45 minutes of saints play, and some imposters in saints shirts in the 2nd half. Probably not the beebs fault but will withhold my license fee.

Frustrating afternoon for me as I entered an internet hell of constant looping if I tried to sign in, so I could follow comments but not respond (good I hear you say). Mostly all has been said but I did mutter at 40mins after the commentators crowed about "Wigan must score soon, they look like the Prem team, are running the show, they've had a zillion corners" etc etc they hadn't put the ball in the net and our keeper hadn't had to make a real save. It's almost if they forget the rules of footy say the winner is the one who scores most goals, sigh.

We still showed lack of confidence 1st half. We also created almost all the clearcut chances in the game. Lets enjoy and take the positives while knowing we're not fully 'fixed' yet.

Did anyone see Sparky give Cedric a hug at the end? I'm sure he said "we were all screaming at you to pass".
I know I was.

To those who say we always should have won this comfortably remind me, what happened to Bournemouth, West Ham and City? I haven't got any real negatives from today. Well apart from the bloody weather. Conditions were not easy and that second half performance was very encouraging.
