Everyone is looking left when they should be looking right. Asa wasn't exactly scintillating today, but what the **** do we expect? That midfield today was a ****ing joke, except i'm not laughing. Shockingly bad. Gyan is frustrated, it's written all over him and can be seen in his body language. I, for one, don't blame him. I can't believe, after bringing in 10 players, that midfield with not a single shred of creativity, pace, skill nor flair is the best we can do. It's an outright abomination. The best thing about bringing in another striker is that Bruce will HAVE to play Sessegnon in the midfield. As good as he is, however, i'm still not convinced he'll be enough.

Short has been wonderful for us, your right, but your also right to say he gets off lightly, Bruce is actually UP on transfers, we know Ellis converted some debt to shares, but the assets at the club would repay that and more.

The free transfer signings alone would fetch in excess of £10million, Gyan, even off form, would bring some profit, as well as many others.

I won't critisise Short, same as you, but i don't think we'd be cheeky asking for a wee bit more, from a multi-billionaire.

Colback, Catts and Gardner were by far the worst players on the pitch today.

    For Chelsea:

    -----Wickham?-------------------
    -------------Gyan------------------
    ?----Catts-------Larsson-----Sessegnon

I fully agree with getting Sess back into midfield, he's completely wasted as the most advanced player.

He's a diamond in the rough at the minute. I can't get my point across strongly enough how sickened i was by that midfield today. That midfield four we started with could well be the slowest most ponderous midfield in the PL, we'll struggle to win almost any game with that four. It needs a serious injection of pace and natural skill and ability or we'll get nowhere. Thankfully we're a large part of the way there considering we have the brilliant Sessegnon already in the ranks. However, if we really want to push on, we need Sessegnon and a similar attacking talent in the midfield. If we get that sorted, we won't need to worry about Asamoah! For now, he can go sit next to the ****ing corner flag for 90 minutes, the midfield needs some major work before i give a **** what he's doing. I don't doubt Asa's ability at all. Yeah, he may have an attitude problem, but so do most big name players. He'll come round when we start playing some proper football!

Think we maybe missed a trick with Jamie O'Hara, but i do feel Gardner will come good.

We do lack pace, and we persist in overloading the midfield with defensive players, but we DID make chances, again.

I'm not knocking Gardner, Colback, Vaughan or anyone else. I'm sure they're fine players. The problem is we can't play all of them. Tbh, we didn't need all of them. I vehemently believe that, assuming we want to have a very successful season, we can play ONLY TWO from Catts, Larsson, Gardner, Vaughan (admittedly i know barely owt about him), and Colback. Can throw Meyler in with that lot, too. We need another skillful player brought in and this new player and Sessegnon will provide the attacking incentive from the midfield.

    Wouldn't argue that mate.

I just don't see any goals in the side in the current set up, and we are ****ed without goals.

We're ABSOLUTELY DEPENDENT on Gyan or Sessegnon coming up with something magic and doing it all individually. Bruce is in dream land. He needs more players with attacking instincts on the field, it's as simple as that really. We can't get onto the strikers (all one of them) for not providing right now, it's simply not fair and we'll alienate a very good player (Gyan). Bruce has opted to play a very, very safe and solid defence with full backs O'Shea and Bardsley rather than more attacking full backs as most top sides prefer, but i don't really have a problem with that. What i do have a problem with is playing that flat solid defence COUPLED with a midfield that is very much in the same vein. We surely must have at least two midfielders who are almost exclusively attack minded in the midfield. Does Bruce not realise there's a game of football to be played? The midfield, barring a couple of occasions, got nowhere near Gyan and Sessegnon today and that was purely down to a lack of skill in there. I don't know what Bruce is thinking.

I've got a strong feeling that your wish is going to come true, or at least I hope so. I've been confident for a couple of weeks now that Kranjčar would be coming once old saggy sorted his other problems out & noises have been getting stronger about Cisse so maybee two. Then if Gyan doesn't pull finger they'll look to move him out in January.

I still think Gyan will be massive but he does look off the pace at the moment - depends on whether he can pull it round and show some passion or whether he needs to be adored (a la Bent) in order to function.

I think it's too early to start throwing rocks at the moment but it seems that since the derby folks are going off like a two-bob watch all over the place.

He's had ALL bloody summer to get in shape. It's nothing short of scandalous that he's not! He could easily have played in Connor Whickham in on goal yesterday but he couldn't be arsed with lookin up! Get rid...

I am aware that he has great skills. This is why I am mad and as I said in the original post -it's downright unprofessional.

Please stop defending the clown !

HOW is he not fit ??, he is quality ?! Based on what exactly...oh sorry played a few decent games for Ghana against some pub teams.

Please get a grip and realise Gyan will not get enough goals for SAFC, ever !.

Please Harry, sign him by Wed !
