A little perspective wouldn't go amiss here.

Leaving aside what's happened to our club, how many of you have thrown 40m into Hull this year or any year?

How much do the others on that list throw at Hull?

How come none of the others on that list have bought our love and admiration by buying our club?

However it turns out, Assem has achieved more, and done more, for Hull than anyone on here, or on that ****ing list.

Yes it could have been so different, but get some self respect ffs.

To be fair the Allams have ****ing loved the limelight. Let us not be kidding ourselves they have creamed off money during our PL years and fire sale of players - no doubt.

Yes they have done allot for the City and I would not take that away from them.

It's all about proportion though. Jean Bishop the Bee lady (95) bless her has probably done more she doesn't have the wealth but by hell she has raised allot of cash, there are loads of people who give so much to the City and never get the recognition they deserve.

    Just my opinion.

This is funny, surpassed however by the many "philanthropic" gifts and no gong from Brenda. Now that's ****ing funny.

****e indeed, he takes a stack of dodgy dollars to a bank, and the manager then gives him the equivalent in today's money of £242.52. **** the **** right off!

Did I hear you mention the tax saving perspective (personal, estate/inheritance or corporate) that may have accrued from said gifts ? Not to mention the kudos & accolades that have fed personal egos ? The others on that list will no doubt have used the same tax strategies for other regions of the country they favour.
Not to demean charitable giving - but there are often vested interests involved. Particularly magnified in the case of the very wealthy.

I don’t think this is good news, they’ll probably want more to sell now.

In the early days of their tyrannic reign, that's what I used to think too.
    No longer.
Yes, they have done good things for the City. And they have done, and continue to do, dreadful things too.
None of us on here know what the others on that list have or haven't done for Hull or other places in Yorkshire. The difference with Allam is that he insists on having his or his family name splattered on pretty much anything good that he does. Others often take a quite different approach.
I nowadays have little doubt that whatever they do, they do it for self-serving purposes.
If anyone was in any doubt about that, it was clarified loud and clear when Enob infamously stated "I do what is morally right .... morally right for me" (apologies if not verbatim, but it's near enough).
Yes, it could and should have been oh so different ..... were they both not utter ****s.

Personally I don’t give a **** what their money has bought, they have behaved like utterly odious, classless ****s throughout.

But if we’re talking along these lines, how many local businesses have suffered appallingly at their hands due to their repugnant business practices? I would expect many jobs have been lost as a direct result.
