It is enough of a burden to follow the R’s without having to witness and read petty complexes and attitudes.

I am not an advocate of censorship, but I am coming to a conclusion that fully off the topic WUM comments should be deleted from threads as it detracts from the quality and pleasure of this forum.

They could be transferred to a WUM thread for those who are interested in it.

I also would like an “ignore poster” feature.

You just tap on the poster's name, then select "ignore" Ski.

There is an easier way. Hopefully it will be done.

As for McClaren, He did good stuff at Boro with a cup win and Euro football. He also did well at Twenty winning a title. Sadly England started his bad spell.
Saying all that he does still have a good reputation for working with young talent which will be essential at QPR.
Really have a good feeling about this and hopefully we may get a decent cup run. :emoticon-0148-yes:

Cheers Goldie, I don't need an apology from durbar. I'm not offended by a few odd posts from an internet troll.

For the record I don't have a drink problem and never have. I certainly didn't leave the fire service due to it either. My service record was exemplary and I retired when I reached my 50th birthday as I was entitled to do. To equate a few posts on the internet to losing my job ( or whatever term he used ) is quite frankly ludicrous and exercises a rather bizarre form of logic.

I like to have a drink as much as anyone but I hadn't even been drinking yesterday. It was my daughter's 16th birthday and we had some friends and family over for a small gathering. I don't drink during the day unless I'm at football and I didn't yesterday as I had to drive my mother back to her home in Fulham. I then had to drop off my daughter's friends. It was only when I returned home just after midnight that I thought I'd come on here and have a read with a glass of wine that I ended up being accused of being a full blown alcoholic. That's the beauty of the internet for you.

I admit that I am also looking forward to developments.

I expect a couple of signings, primarily at center-back and hopefully with the Hill/Derry hardened-pro experience. Plus, a new forward would be useful.

But most of all, I look forward to seeing how McLaren shapes the team and what type of style of play develops.

I also expects our young players to develop

So hopefully, exciting times at Loftus Road. :)

You're more tolerant than I'd be, Nines, and that's to your credit. I thought Durbar would be big enough to offer an apology.

Nice response mate, although you don't need to ever justify yourself to some internet troll.
What he said was out of order and nasty. He overstepped the mark and then was coming out with more crap after.
I had a run in with him just last week on the RIP thread . You would have thought someone would have had the intelligence to be respectful, but not him. He has also in the past hijacked other threads. He adds nothing and won't be missed.
Saying all that I would let Beth and Tramore decide his fate.

Nines, there is really no need to explain your private life or anything else. This is a football forum and what we have in common is the R’s.

All other topics and issues are “by the way” and we need to keep a distance.

On reflection, this is exactly the reaction that WUM’s want and we need to self-moderate in order not to give this satisfaction.

    Take care and Cheers!

Retiring at 50 must seem odd Nines!
I'm 54 and it seems a long way off for me. Are you doing anything else?

    Turkish is not a race.
And from your name I had two choices and I really didn't think you were a chocolate bar.
