Liverpool FC and Standard Chartered relationship continues

Liverpool Football Club is delighted to confirm that main sponsor Standard Chartered will continue to be front of shirt for the next four years.

The renewal of the deal will see the club’s relationship with the bank extend to the end of the 2022-23 season. The partnership began in 2010, making it the second-longest sponsorship deal in Reds history.

Since it began working together with the club, Standard Chartered has reached more than 37million people across LFC platforms highlighting the UN’s Global Goals programme, had more than 4,000 children participate in its soccer clinics, and for its annual ‘Perfect Match’ game – where LFC players swap the Standard Chartered logo on their shirts for the Seeing is Believing logo – fans have helped to raised almost USD 500,000 to tackle avoidable blindness.

The partnership has also reached almost 140,000 Reds supporters with LFC World, presented by Standard Chartered – an interactive fan experience which began in 2016 and brings fans around the world a little closer to Anfield. LFC World has visited seven destinations across the last two seasons, including Hong Kong, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Shanghai, Mumbai, Jakarta and, most recently, Dubai.

Standard Chartered has also donated nearly 500 match tickets to the local community through Liverpool FC’s Red Neighbours programme over the last two seasons.

Billy Hogan, managing director and chief commercial officer at LFC, said: “As a club we’re very proud to have Standard Chartered renew their relationship for another four years. Our connection runs deep, it means more than just sponsorship, from the outset it has been about working together with the club and our communities and supporters around the world.

“Importantly, it also means we are able to support our ambitions on the pitch and compete with the best in the world. We have enjoyed many highlights of this relationship so far and I look forward to many more.”

Bill Winters, group chief executive at Standard Chartered, said: “Liverpool FC is one of the world’s best-known football clubs and we are proud to be associated with them. It is a fantastic club that shares many of our values and is hugely popular across our global footprint.

“Our partnership has provided valuable support to the charitable initiatives close to our hearts and has helped us to further engage with our clients and staff as well as with LFC fans. We are excited to be able to continue this partnership, and look forward to building on our successful relationship.”

Peter Moore, the Reds’ chief executive officer, added: “It’s great to see what shared values in a partnership like this can really achieve and how our supporters at home and around the world can feel the positive impact of our relationship. I look forward to seeing this long-standing connection with Standard Chartered flourish even further.”

I haven’t made any claims, he doesn’t appear to want to back his stance that he will be a fraud. Fair play, I will resign my role as fund raiser for Kidney Research UK.

If it’s silva I think I will jack football in.

You just said he's afraid to put his money where his mouth is <laugh>

Why don't you initiate a bet for once instead of trolling astro and picking up on his statements? Be as brave as he is, make an outrageous claim, take a risk yourself. I know you won't but I'd love to see you make a claim like Everton will finish above Liverpool or Everton will score more goals than Liverpool or Everton will go further in the FA Cup ........ Come on, be brave. Have you got the guts?

I did initiate a bet. If the guy fails I pay up, if he doesn’t then you get the gist.

    Who is making the claims?

You 'claimed' he's afraid to put his money where his mouth is.

With regard to initiating, maybe I didn't put it clearly or correctly. What I meant was, seeing as you like to bet with astro, instead of jumping on every outrageous statement he makes and calling for a bet on it, it's now time for you to be as brave as him and come up with a statement/prediction of your own like the ones I mentioned and place a bet on that. So far you've only taken the easy route, take a risk yourself.

From the BBC - If Liverpool win the final and finish in the top four of the Premier League, England will still only have four teams in next season's Champions League, with the Reds' spot for winning the tournament handed to the champions of the Czech Republic's top division.

Everton are the 5th biggest spenders in all of Europe thanks to cashing in on Lukaku and now Everton fans are already writing off qualifying for Europe next season <laugh>

Maybe I should have a bet with Gueye who is the only one prepared to say "I want to help the club fight for Europe next season" while Moshiri, Brands, and Everton fans have all #bottled any mention of it.

I didn't click on the link because they take forever to load <laugh>

I'd be interested to know how they assign the CL place though if the winner has already qualified.

If we win it, and comes 5th in the league and Chelsea 4th, we are going to replace Chelsea that comes 4th.

    Do
Doesnt matter what position outside of top 4 we finish.

If we won it but finished 17th we would still replace team who finished 4th as team who wins comp has a right to defend their title.

He wouldn’t accept my offer so that’s it, said earlier there is no need for @Tobes to be monitor.

The difference here is I have made no bold/outlandish statement, he won’t put his mind net where his mouth is.......

That’s because he was wrong before......

And that's my point. <doh> You really need to make a bold statement instead of trolling astro over his. You seem too scared to make a statement and put your money where your mouth is - in fact you can't find your mouth to use it to place your money there :bandit:
