He dived and won a penalty, the sending off is because the referee and rules at that time were a joke, He's not alone in having done that and he won't be the last, he does deserve credit for cutting it out and getting back to work and in United and England's teams though. I think he's done well at the World Cup, one of the better more consistent performers in the team, he didn't let England down for one second. People will always remember the season when he was a serial diver. Fair enough I suppose, shame people can't see he hasn't done it for years.

I feel for him, at 33 it was his final time playing for England in a tournament and he was so close to winning a world cup, which sadly he won't get again.
