Grandpa's bust in the board room has a microphone and two eagle-eye cameras cunningly hidden inside it.

That's how Millwall have learned all our footballing secrets.

    Nothing new.

If you don't believe me, ask @DickPlumb

We were both told the same last week - no takeover until Sept at the earliest.

    From Bexley boy

    Update ...

Major players in both camps return next week .. Aussies getting frustrated by others... nothing changed this week as far as can see
Takeover is STILL VERY MUCH ON but the next two weeks are going to be interesting as the personal issues that will affect some of the Aussies will kick in .. and they will have a massive call to make.

Keith Harris back on board to assist the Aussies next week ..

But in the world of takeover things can change very quickly so we come along way already fingers crossed things happen in the next few weeks

    From Angel dust.

The takeover is as good as dead in the water.

Take your pick. It seems to suggest that nobody is in the Know.

This is getting ridiculous. If the takeover was on, it would have be done already. The Aussies need to put up or just shut up.

The transfer window shuts in 2 weeks, doesn’t take a genius to pluck that day out of thin air and make it sound almost believeable

Should this nonsense drag on till Christmas I fear we could have this clown for another season.

Prospective buyers may want to see what division we are in NEXT season.

    Sad times.

There will be no time next summer to muck about finalising a take-over.

A new owner coming in will have to spend several million pounds rebuilding our squad virtually from scratch.
Hardly something that makes our Club more attractive to buy.
We could be looking at needing 15 main players.
If anybody tries to build a whole squad using free transfers and crocks as Duchatelet would, Charlton will be relegated in season 2019-20.

The latest from Lee Bowyer today (Cawley)..

He is expecting Peterborough to make another bid for Magennis, as they have just sold a striker for £3m.

Dillon Phillips *may* start the season as our No.1 (another massive reduction in the quality of our team compared to Amos, if true)

He said the Club must have players lined up in case of last min departures <laugh>

What a sad state of affairs that it has come to this. Charlton are like a carcass in the desert - just waiting for the vultures to pick at it.

    This is from Cawley.

I asked the question to Australian side again this week and they said trying to complete deal before the start of the season. If that counts as an update, I'll let you decide!

    What a load of fanny.

The Australians have got a total & utter disregard for long term Charlton fans.

Yet another summer where we have got weaker, yet another pre season wasted.

“Mr Muir - you are said to be worth over half a billion pounds. Why won’t you spend £40m of your own money on Charlton?”

If & when the Australians did take over, there would normally be a week- long street party to celebrate the end of Duchatelet.

Instead - the feelgood factor is zero.

All the fault of a couple of people.

Murray and Roland. I don't blame anyone who has refused to buy under Roland's terms. It's up to him to make the club a saleable asset, and he hasn't done that. It's known as the market. I don't believe there is a second bidder, that's only a clumsy way of trying to put pressure on the Aussies. If Costa tried to charge you a fiver for a cup of coffee, ie twice the value, it would be their fault that you decided to keep your money.

    - today’s Evening Standard.

    A new deadline <cheers>

I posted on the rumours thread that this would happen on deadline day, at least they have done it early. Will they bring in a replacement as we will have three fit strikers. Bauer to follow, I reckon. We really are a **** Club.

Their own players were on strike recently because they had not been paid.
How can Bolton even be allowed to pay a fee to buy a player if they don't even pay their existing employees on time?
