    I think good news.
More measured in his approach. More measured tweets! Passionate for QPR and hopefully keeps Mittal's billions in play in due course.

So we always thought that he was sensible and a good guy...(not sure why)

He is the son in law of Lashmi Mittel, steel billionaire, considerably richer than uncle Tone
His wedding to Mittals daughter took place in Versaille!!!

He also doesn't respond on twitter like Tone does.

Internal shake up...no-one is going nowhere, but a more solid footing is my take

Bhatia and the Mittals were responsible for bringing in Warnock from Crystal Palace many moons ago, after Briatore's revolving door management. We all know what genuine success that brought.

Amit's a good bloke, loves QPR and for me, it would be great if this marked the start of renewed Mittal interest in the club and a possible buy out from the current majority owners. It's a real possibility a little way down the line. Why would both previous vice-chairmen and owners, Tony and Ruben, resign and hand over chairmanship to a minority shareholder, and then keep their shareholding? (some uncertainty in reports about whether Ruben has kept vice-chairmanship)

Being Chairman is an impossible job: keeping all the fans happy all of the time is never going to happen. Tony Fernandes has worked hard to be more communicative, which has been very welcome, although he has probably overdone it at times, especially on Twitter. Everyone knows he has made mistakes but he's a genuine fan who, with his enthusiasm, has got carried away at times. He has paid heavily for those mistakes, both in financial terms and in the criticism he has received, much of which has been seriously over the top. He's set a lot of good things in motion, such as: youngsters coming through, new training ground and new stadium. In my opinion, these landmark achievements could all crystallise in the foreseeable future. If they don't, it's not for want of trying. I think we owe him a vote of thanks and hope he enjoys a well earned rest out of the spotlight. Let's also hope he sticks with us: we need influential supporters like him.

We are very lucky indeed to have another outstanding candidate to take up the reins. Welcome Amit!

So the Fernades era comes to an end. I for one have already forgiven him acting like an over-excited fan and a kid in the Premier League multi-billion sweetshop as I suspect it's how many of us would have responded in the same situation. Not sure I can be so kind about the lack of progress on rebuilding the club's infrastructure during his tenure however. New training facilities and a new ground in London are Tricky projects for sure but surely a good businessman would have overcome the hurdles more quickly and Tony was always the first to point out how important these are to our future. Hopefully he will remain an R and we can chat about it down the pub one day.

I’m actually really pleased with this one....as many have said....a more measured head who hopefully won’t get pulled in my the lure of social media.
Might also give Tony a respite from the crap he gets on Twitter (though he can’t be entirely blameless for some of it)
    A good day all round

And the best of luck to Amit.

Of course, this changes nothing as far as our ownership is concerned, but ten years ago we found out he has an understanding of football.

Providing it fits within his remit, I would think that he will be the main decision maker. I certainly hope so!
