I think most of us would have too high expectations of him to bring back the quality football he once had. I could be proven wrong though.
On bail, I take it? He was a superb player for Saints in his prime, turned rou nd games single-handed, but I don't see him anywhere near the level of Kevin Davies now.
Was actually quite recently good at Stoke (and obviously Sheff Utd) until he fell out with Pulis. Didn't work out for him at Rangers. But if we were to add to our forward line, a bit of pace would be a requirement
No. He's probably slower than Lambert and my Rangers pal says he would rival Holmes for the treatment table. Thanks for his past success but No!
Still probably a good striker at our level, but would he knuckle down to Adkins fitness regime or settle for being 3rd or 4th striker. Nope to both.
He (his missus) is desperate for him to come back here. If he can get fit, he would be a great asset to have. Would provide perfect foil for Lambert, which we don't have at the moment, and of course would bag 10+ goals as he's a natural goalscorer.
Pointless thread, this could be discussed in other threads already live. the information is comercially sensitive and will not be released to us.
I wish with all my heart that I could find a logical reason for signing Beatts. He was such a great player for us, for 90% of his time with us. But I can't. NO. If Adkins decided he'd give him a go though, it would bring a smile to my face.
