Off to Spain in a couple of years for £196m. Well, I can dream. Wonder what % well on we negotiated. Whatever, time comes and we will have an extra bonanza.
One thing that is difficult to believe is that Harry Kane's goal v Fulham is his very first August goal scored as a professional footballer!
Was interesting reading an EDP interview with the scout who brought him to CR. Sounds like it was basically injuries that stopped him getting the run in the team his performances in training deserved.
So easy for Man City. They didn't even have to get out of first gear. Their neighbours however, look proper w*nk.
Absolutely not!! - ten times better if you ask me, and it´s still one of the worst decisions the Club have ever made, sacking him WHEN THEY DID. Had he failed to keep us up that season then sacking him in the summer would have been fair and reasonable, but doing it when they did, was completely ludicrous. I still miss him, but great to see him holding his own in the PL.
A totally needless relegation brought about by Hughton’s negative tactics and bigging up of the opposition. You can just imagine his team talks can’t you, “They’ve loads of quality so just try not to lose “ He should have been sacked way earlier and a new experienced manager put in place rather than poor old Neeyul who at least had the decency to fall on his sword the next season when he realised he was not up to the job and he has my total respect for that. Perhaps Hughton has learned from his abysmal last few months here and that is why he is (currently) doing well at Brighton, or perhaps Brighton is just a good fit for him to quote a cliché. He’s a very nice man
He certainly is that KIO, and for that he gets my respect. and very possibly, according to some at any rate, he should have been sacked earlier, but to do it when they did was utter stupidity, and brought about by sheer desperation, it gave Adams absolutely no chance whatsoever, and subsequently ruined whatever career he might have thought he had in football management. There were no winners there at all - except Hughton, ironically!
It finished B'ton 3 - 2 Manure We beat them 2 - 1 in the top flight against all expectations. Tettey toe-poke. Look where we are now
http://www.wolvesblog.com/12270/the-ryan-bennett-appreciation-society Interesting how Bennett has made a real progression in his career since leaving here. I for one would have rather kept him at the time and I feel further justified by that now
