Three of Middlesboro’s defence have been named in Championship team of the month: Randolph GK, Shotton RB and Friend LB. Chances of scoring will probably be limited, so whatever chances we get must be taken if we want a home win. Based on what we have been served up so far, I can’t envisage a win. A draw looks to be the best result.
Hmmm. From today's presser - both Hanley and Pinto injured!! #weneedamiracle You were just posting that as I posted my comment.
To try and find a positive...big chance for Godfrey to step up? When Klose went off in the derby, Godfrey was given the nod ahead of Zimmerman. Does Hanley's injury mean Godfrey will get an extended run alongside Klose?
From the BBC. Pretty sure he scored against Sheffield Wednesday Norwich striker Jordan Rhodes hasn't scored a single goal in any of his last 16 league appearances (inc. play-offs) against sides he's previously represented in the Football League since a brace against Ipswich Town in October 2015 for Blackburn Rovers Edit he scored against Sheffield United
Match facts Norwich have won their last three matches against Middlesbrough in all competitions without conceding a single goal. Since a 4-4 draw between Norwich and Middlesbrough in January 2005, three league meetings between the teams at Carrow Road have produced just three goals. Norwich striker Jordan Rhodes hasn't scored a single goal in any of his last 16 league appearances (inc. play-offs) against sides he's previously represented in the Football League since a brace against Ipswich Town in October 2015 for Blackburn Rovers. Only Bolton (29y 11d) have an older starting XI average age than Middlesbrough in the Championship this season (28y 226d). Norwich have alternated between a win and a defeat in their last eight home Championship games - they lost their last game at Carrow Road against Leeds. Middlesbrough have kept five consecutive league clean sheets for the first time since a run of nine consecutively between November 2015 and January 2016; they haven't conceded in their last 503 minutes of Championship football
That just sucks a great big weinerschnitzel. I was afraid we didn't have enough CB's. Now we're down to three including Godfrey.
It's certainly given Godfrey his chance (and I'm sure he#ll do well) and with Pinto out as well, Aarons gets his chance.
Whatever is there to exube about ? - One win in six, letting in 2 goals a game on average, a manager (coach) and players who´re proving they´re still incapable of finding their way around this division, and today, up against a side who´re more than likely to end in the top 6. If we manage to only lose 2 - 0, I´ll see that as success.
The sun is shining I have a ticket for today so I'm hoping for a good display and a victory. I don't remember winning against a Pulis side in the past.
