Askey and the team have the monkey of there backs let us town can build some continuity and momentum, Scunthorpe have conceded 18 goal so clearly some issues in defence, so we need to press them an early goal by town would silence the home crowd, they have a pacey winger so we need to be switched on at the back. if we lose the inevitable doubters and anti askey brigade will be back on full volume.

It would be great if they can get a win and even better claim a clean sheet to top it off. It's always been a tough place to go and last time was a snowy wonderland!

Fingers crossed for today's game and Floreat Salopia.

Looks like one step forward last week and two steps back today. I am still concerned about where the goals are going to come from in this team. Vital we beat the Gills on Saturday to try to get clear of the relegation zone points wise.

we had a spell of dominance in the first half but did not score and the second half was the worst we have played all season.what was concerning was our defence inability to cope with a ball over the defence and defenders facing there own goal, scunthorpe did this repeatedly in the second half and town did not seem to have found a way to deal with it. it is these games were town need to get at least a point so this was disappointing on a number of levels.

I do not think Waterfall and Sadler are the best centre back combination we have because they both lack pace. If Beckles can recover his best form I would like to see him in there with Haynes recalled at left back.

At least you've had a win this season. Have no fears about 24th spot because I think we will be in that one for quite a while yet.

We'd rather Walsall had that spot!

I try to console myself with the "League is upside down". It's not really working though. I'd rather anyone be there than us. I don't think we will do the same as last season this time.

What's happened to your team this season Greeny? I thought you would carry on your form from the end of last season. Did you lose some of your best players?

Yes there were a couple at least who we would like to have kept but despite us having gates of 10k we apparently couldn't afford to. The ones we brought in seemed to be better but that was on paper not on the pitch it seems. We have a shed load of injuries and a defense that would look better if they were a wall of tortoises. Slow does not describe and you would think they hadn't even met each other before a game let alone trained all week. I fear for this season because I cannot imagine we will do the great escape act again. It's been a shambles since the season kicked off and shows little sign of improving. The Manager is probably the safest one in English football as he has 3 years of a contract left to run. If we can't afford money for players then we can't afford to sack him either on that principal. It's never his fault anyway and he is sure things are about to change. Somebody has to think so and you would bet on it being the manager.

Realistic Wooperts is what I call it. I don't try to sell Argyle as being a big club and waterproof even if we get gates a lot higher that the majority of teams in this league. You are where you are for a reason and the reason we are bottom and going nowhere soon is because we have been rubbish. We have 11 injuries currently and the results aren't getting any better. What would you call that?
