Here are my arrows for Cheltenham today: 12.40 Sky Pirate. The booking of Patrick Mullins really catches my eye and I think he can help Sky Pirate put in a nice round of jumping which must see him go very close (then again, he is trained by Jonjo ) 1.15 Snapdragon Fire jumped off the page at me. Up 8lbs for his Huntingdon victory in a fairly weak event but at least that showed he can carry weight. Trappy race so e/w. 1.50 Doitforthevillage won this last year off 135 and subsequently ran a very creditable 6th in the Grand Annual and 4th in the Red Rum Handicap off 139. Dropped to 137 today which gives him a massive chance. 2.25 Jenkins is a horse I have always liked and it isn't his fault that he was so hyped by the media after his impressive Newbury bumper win. Jumped fine on chase debut and I think he has the scope to make a big impression as a novice chaser this season. 3.00 Josies Orders given the weights and a recent prep run over hurdles. 3.35 Darlac to continue Colin Tizzard's fine form.
I did that this weekend last year. Spent the weekend in Paris and just arrived back into London after the last race on the Sunday!
Sadly she seems to have gone down with a minor bout of food poisoning. I was really looking forward to Seville.
The famous phrase "The rain in Spain ...." was translated in Spain as "the Rain in Seville is a wonder" or "The rain in Seville is pure wonder". In Spanish "La lluvia en Sevilla es una maravilla" o "La lluvia en Sevilla es pura maravilla".
hi fellas! cheltenham,12 40: THE YOUNG MASTER finally came out of the doldrums again last time out, putting in a solid round of jumping at chepstow, and is still well treated on his former exploits,so has a big shout again today!
Just quickly picked some from the Cheltenham card... No bets, but here's my picks... 12:40 - Lovely Job, 15/2 1:15 - Snap Dragon, 8/1 1:50 - A Hare Breath, 11/4 2:25 - White Moon, 7/2 3:00 - Josies Orders, 15/8 3:35 - Pym, 7/4 Cheers...
Station Master Rockpoint A Hare Breath Jenkins (not quite getting why he is such a big price. has had a winning run over fences and the highest hurdle rating in this field) Josies Orders (1/2 a wheelbarrow) Darlac
cheltenham,1 15: another highly competitive handicap, and i think,it can go to an unexposed sort like ANTUNES.how he ll handly the hurly-burly of a big field at cheltenham is another question, but he could be a horse to follow, especially,as he had no easy races the last twice,vs very much above average rivals.so,might be better off in handicaps..
3:35 Cheltenham - Darlac (Agree with others on here, looks a really good prospect. Stable in excellent form and champion jockey rides.)
cheltenham,1 50: A HARE BREATH is still quite unexposed over fences, given his age,and had some tough tasks at the end of last season, but has enough useful hurdling form,to make him a player today.
cheltenham,2 25: i was kicking myself last time out at carlisle,as i didnt back my old foe COUNT MERIBEL then, and he made no mistake, jumping very well and hes a real tryer,so despite taking on much better horses today, and also having to give weight away to some promising rivals, his attitude will stand him in good stead,so a big run definitely possible again..
No bets today as sadly working bit that White Moon reminds me of a grey version of Native River. Will come on a bundle for that run and might be well suited with cut in ground..
