Anybody out there in not606 land know what they're talking about regarding motorcycle electrics? I've just bought an old Yamaha 2 stroke which has the original 6v electrical system. What this tends to mean is that lamps don't get very bright and also fluctuate in brightness as the revs go up and down... I was thinking that I can either upgrade to a 12v system which means new 12v battery, new 12v lamps all round, 12v flasher unit and a compatible regulator/rectifier, or leave it as a 6v system and replace the existing lamps bar the headlight with LED units and an LED flasher unit just to reduce the draw on the system... A third option I guess would be to upgrade to 12v AND switch to LEDs. Anybody done anything like this? They're all reasonably cheap options, but I haven't seen the results of any of the changes so can't decide whether it's worth the hassle. Over to any bike experts (where's TSS when I need him? )
He's an infrequent visitor these days and I didn't want to bother him by PM. He does know his stuff though
Charity work in general yeah but particularly Hillsborough (I think). Went above and beyond for the families, club and City in general in the years post the disaster right up until the recent inquests. I (generally speaking) don't like sportspeople getting them but it's more than deserved here.
I’m the same. No problem if it’s not for the sport and that’s what my question was. I know he did loads for those families and therefore I have no issue with this. I don’t like it when someone gets one for being a good player!
