So I'm watching the first 60 - 70 minutes wishing that England had played this line up against the USA. Then Alli, Sancho, and Lingard come into the game. These were the guys that caused all the problems against the US - and England scores twice in the 15 - 20 minutes after the substitutions. These three players are your future going forward.

Harry Kane man of the match, I only watched the second half, he had one touch if I recall rightly, but it won the game, put us into the semis and knocked Croatia out of the competition, exciting stuff, and for once the right result, although I am a bit of a Croatia fan. Sancho look the business, cant say the same for Dyer, Delph and Barkley who were dire.

First England game I've enjoyed in quite a while.

Couldn't disagree more with you about Delph though mate. Worked his arse off, both on the ball and off.

And Kane getting MOTD!! Seriously, WTF!!

    Ridiculous!!

having now watched the first half highlights I have to agree that Delph was running the show and Barkley was also much better early doors, also Kane got the vital assist for the first goal, so I stand corrected, good on ya Burly. <ok>

I thought Kane was woeful! Should’ve been hooked but he did what goalscorers do best!! Delph was better than Dier mind. Wasn’t very good but Dier should’ve been subbed instead of him imo. Kane seems to be in subbable!! He’s been so poor this season for close b and country

Dont know what people see in Dier, he has been poor for a long time but just keeps on getting picked regardless. <ok>

The Spanish now qualify for the Eurovision song contest, the Scots win 10,000 pints of tennants and the Germans have to watch strickly come dancing for the rest of the series.

I think this competition has worked - the games have had an edge to them rather than a procession of twenty players each side changing every 10 minutes.

Would I have liked it had we not succeeded? Probably not!

We can definitely win this tournament.

I can see us being favourites with the bookies next summer.

I agree, anything is better than a friendly which nobody gives a **** about, players included, but even with that low bar I've been impressed with the desire to win being shown. It is almost like another major cup and in time it may well be.
