Based on remaining 16 games LFC Max = 105 (linear for saint) City Max = 101 Therefore anything over 102 is a waste in this poll Simple job. Look at remaining fixtures and predict points total that winner of Prem will be on at end.
i think it will be close to a 100 needed. city have the squad, but we have the players. lets ****ing do this!
Certainly it's not going to be over 100 points. We have 57 points now. Winning all remaining games 16x3= 48 Total =105. I think 95 points is going to do it.
MAN city remaining fixtures 20/01/2019 Huddersfield Town A PL 26/01/2019 Burnley H FAC 29/01/2019 Newcastle United A PL 03/02/2019 Arsenal H PL 10/02/2019 Chelsea H PL 20/02/2019 Schalke 04 A CL 23/02/2019 Everton A PL 26/02/2019 West Ham United H PL 02/03/2019 Bournemouth A PL 09/03/2019 Watford H PL 12/03/2019 Schalke 04 H CL 16/03/2019 Manchester United A PL 30/03/2019 Fulham A PL 06/04/2019 Cardiff City H PL 13/04/2019 Crystal Palace A PL 20/04/2019 Tottenham Hotspur H PL 27/04/2019 Burnley A PL 04/05/2019 Leicester City H PL 12/05/2019 Brighton & Hove Albion A PL I can only see 4 games (more likely 3) where there's any hope of city dropping points. (note league cup final or second leg is not in this list) If you award city just 2 draws in those 4... = 97 points for them. so 98 point for LFC = is still 14 wins from 16. One thing is certain. The record of the combined points tally for the winners and runners up will be smashed. Last season it was 181 a record. This season it could go to 190+. I think City will end up on 92. We will need 93 but we’ll end up with 99.
I hope that Newcastle don’t need a point to stay up in our last away match and we don’t need 3 points. That could be extremely nervy.
city on 92? that's be nice..... I can't see them dropping more than 4 more points unless they get to do final.
Don't know about you but there is some weakness in City from a defensive point of view. This can be exploited by Chelsea and Spurs who also need the points ever since Manu got in the top 4 discussion. Same argument can be thrown an Liverpool but my argument is based solely on defensive solidity.
Winning the big games may not necessarily win the title. Liverpool, city, are to face United before the end of the season, and there are some fixtures you cannot be certain of the outcome. All I know is that the title is for Liverpool to lose.
I reckon Man City are being overestimated If we win it, then I think we will be able to look at the table and say 90 points would have been enough (ignoring that us only being on for 91 points would have encouraged City more)
What is the probability that city are going to retain the title? No team has retained the premiership title apart from Manchester united. City are in the premiership title chase, league cup, FA cup and the champion league, while Liverpool are in the premiership chase and in the champion league as well. Pep is going to break record by retaining the title while Liverpool are going to win 19th titles by winning it.
oh I would absolutely agree they cough up goals but when they are scoring 4 the other end. They can be got at if people try. my thing is mindsets are to not bother and be defensive and keep score down. we play Chelsea, spurs and Utd as well. coincidentally we are at home in first two as are then and they are also away to Utd. we need to at minimum match their results in these games. tough to do.
Sorry. I thought you meant a premiership record. It’s not going to happen anyway. Confidence is high amongst our players and this time it feels different.
