Pompey at Wembley would be ideal, would feel like a proper cup final that.

Would be a sell out as well.

Their keeper was the difference between 2-0 and 6 or 7-0!

At least it made no difference in the end and what looked on paper like a team that might struggle to score proved that theory wrong. Shame Kimpioka didn't get one but I've got no doubt he'll score plenty for us.

Yes, thanks yet again to RTB. The clips were immediately forwarded to cousin in Britain and "bairn" who is now 19 and has just started work for the season on the Cayman Islands. RTB's brilliance spans the globe <cheers>

    Portsmouth at home for me.

We can beat them and have Wembley to ourselves in the final.

Just booked the hotel for the Saturday and Sunday nights ..

.. free cancellation in case Bury knock us out.

I thought he was poor yesterday until Robson came on. But we didn’t play to his strengths as he’s not a hold up player. Needs the ball in front of him

Just listened to Jack Ross post match interview on the clubs website and thought how impressive and knowledgeable he is.
His thoughts on Duncan Watmore are spot on saying anything we get from him this season is a bonus, there is no pressure or expectation on him at all, he's giving the lad a free hit and expects him to be back to his best next season.
He says the right things about people's expectations and how close we are to have a really successful season and the players are going away for a few days but he expects them back and raring to go again for the important games ahead of us.
I think we've landed a top bloke here who talks sense and it's a pleasure to listen to him.
Well done Jack here's hoping we get what we all want out of the rest of the season.

Whatever happens this season, we need a period of stability and Ross should be part of that imo. Top bloke.

I went with my brother last night and got into a heated discussion (*for "heated discussion" see "blazing argument") about Jack Ross - he doesn't rate him and blames him for the team not closing games out. It's his first game this season and he's only seen the SAFC.com highlights of any of the other games.

I think he's excellent personally - his substitution and whatever happened after it moved City's youngsters back on the pitch and took pressure off us last night - worked very well. And Robson (IMO) looked every bit at this level. (@clockstander I have said I've seen only one game of promise in him previously - well I've now seen 2 and last night is the most recent so I'm hopeful). Watmore has been out for 2 years all bar 25 minutes and some people expetc him to have immediately come back and been where he was previously. He's finding his feet sand given a complete free hit for the season - that is great man management for me.

Very harsh to blame Ross for not killing games off, we keep on trying to the end which is to his credit and he makes the right subs at the right times. The only problem we have is not having the quality in front of goal which will hopefully be sorted with a new signing to help Maja out.

I’m frustrated we aren’t closing games out as much as I’d like (obviously), but in no way do I blame Jack Ross for that.

He’s one of the principal reason’s we are right in the mix. A bit of a rest for some, and a few new faces should do the trick to close out the season on a high
