Watching League 2 match. Mansfield v Lincoln on Sky and wandering if next season we could get loan players from them (Ive lost hope on transfers) but maybe we can't afford they're wages.
I think they owe themselves it, they own the club and control the finances. All their own work in fact
I bet they'll be mortified when they see that. If it doesn't make them leave the area soon nothing will. I've just spent five minutes of my time looking for dog turds.
Which is exactly the same as saying "I'm not leaving the casino until I win back everything I've lost." Utterly stupid.
I agree they need to sell for the best price possible now. Also, I never forget AA saying when buying the club that this was his gift to the city of Hull and East Riding. His initial input of £40m I understood that as a gift, so even if they sold the club for say £30M they would be better off than their initial position. Of cause we know he never goes back on his word.....
But they own the casino. They, better than most, fully understand the importance of cashflow. The note to the last accounts stated City could not stand alone without third party investment. Be this transfer monies received or dipping into Allamhouse. As projected income reduces, cut costs. Nobody will pay 50 million, so they will stay.
It's nothing more than a gamble. They're more likely to lose more money than to win it all back. They own the club but they don't own the league, which would be closer to 'owning the casino'.
A good job Blackpool is only half an hour from Heathrow... BBC Sport @BBCSport There have been at least 59 expressions of interest from people to buy League One club Blackpool.
At least 59. Not the odd one but at least 59. For a club slightly more ****ed than us in a lower league. And still people will believe the Allams when they say no one wants to buy us.
That's nonsense. They have the upper hand and they know it. If they were skint you might have a point, but they're not. We are.
Saying that they will stay as long as it takes to get their money back is stupid for exactly the same reason that it would be stupid to do the same in a casino. In both cases the results are far from guaranteed and one can just continue to lose more and more. The Allams will do exactly that by continuing as they are.
They seem to think so which is all that matters here really. They say they're making sure they get their money back before leaving. But that's stupid because you can't guarantee it and are just as likely to lose more and more. When your only strategy is to spend nothing and hope for the best, I daresay the chances of losing more money increases as opposed to gaining any.
