Great come back, brilliant headed winner and we score from a corner at last. Watched one of the security blokes throw the ball to their player he then kicked it straight to Grosicki who puts it in and we score. Their manager will have a right go at their young player for kicking the ball to us with a couple of minutes to go and I think he will learn from that. Campbell got us back in for first goal, great follow up and never stops working. If he's allowed to leave on a free it's a disgrace. It would be great to now go to Boro and get a win but what ever happens considering the start we had and the lack of investment this team overall has been outstanding.
Brilliant effort from the lads tonight Great win 3 on the spin. If you didnt go tonight which is the majority on here take your ****ing negativity elsewhere and do what you do best moan about the owners.
Remaining fixtures... Our max point tally is potentially 75. That means mathematically we can get more points than West Brom. Looking at the remaining fixtures for the teams below WBA and our nearest challengers for a playoff place, and their relative positions above & below each team they play, we do appear to have a difficult challenge. But - you never know !
great job, I love custom handmade tables, that's truely sign of devotion! Bristol's extra game doesn't look like an opportunity imao (Derby game also is not easy). We'll see whoever survive. It can be amazing to play deathmatch at last match day vs Bristol.
Game changed when Batty came on. Irvine was very poor kept giving the ball away, he can’t pass a parcel at times. Campbell was immense again, to not sign him on a new contract is utter bonkers, but that’s our idiot owners for you. Also I was told not so long ago by a few fans Bowen has no pace and can’t take a player on. We need to start doing a montage of his dribbles and skills, the kid improves every game and I will be sad to see him leave, so strong, works hard and has wonderful balance. Not a bad left foot an all. Can’t take a corner mind. A club in the top 6 awaits, an I would back him at his current level of improvement to be a hit in the league above.
Agreed RnR. Millwall are/will be fighting for their lives (as will Reading), hopefully< to avoid relegation. Swansea are essentially safe, so that makes Derby a bigger threat imo for the 6th playoff spot. Boro, despite being in a slump, seem to have the best run in to me. Villa have a difficult set of fixtures imo. Would be fantastic to battle Bristol City on the last day of the season and repeat out Wembley success for a playoff place
Not surprising given remaining fixtures ( I'm sure you saw # 205 above). Swansea is interesting. Could be a big surprise if they hit form - relatively easy run-in.
Tough game. Wigan did a number on us. Gibson was excellent for them. Been a cock I hope he gets himself sorted as he had great potential. Big mistake by nige switching Pugh and Growshitski so early .pugh was harrying Gibson, kamil didn't an the next thing they scored. Niggly team Wigan, made a back for every aerial challenge. Both their full backs were quick stopped our wingers a lot. Henriksen is off his game. Head down all the time. Lichaj is the type of bloke you want stood next to you when trouble starts. Kane good game awful crosses, really awful. Jordy, howler for their goal. Brilliant header for ours Burke. Great game didn't put a foot wrong and dealt well with that **** Clarke when he came on. Impressive. Irvine. Worked hard, awful passing. Campbell. Excellent again. Batty did well when he came on. Evandro was a strange sub. Martin should gave been on earlier imho. And the ****ers singing if Martin scores were on the pitch need a beating. We've not been able to win ugly for awhile. So well done boys.
The planets are continuing to align. May 5th, Bristol City 6th with 74 points, City 7th with 72 points. No other contenders have lasted the course. 90 minute shoot out for the pleasure of beating Leeds in the play off semi.
Re Campbell.... Burnsy mentioned he may be off to Huddersfield.... that would take ineptitude to a whole new level. Lets say has on 20 and would take 15k. Over two years thats 1.5 million plus bonuses. You couldn't buy an untested 4th division striker for that. He's been quite brilliant of late.
How quick was Campbell back on his feet for his goal? Striker’s instinct that you can’t buy for the money we’re talking about. Ridiculous to sack him off for a (relative) pocketful of change.
