What yesterday tells us is that virtually the same set of players using the same shape were able to play well and, despite getting pegged back to 2-2, go on to win it AND hit the woodwork twice in the last 5 minutes.

Scunthorpe are poor as well as amoral, but we've lost to the likes of Accrington and Gillingham in recent weeks, who weren't tearing up trees at the time either. If this 11 had played with the same spirit throughout the season as they did yesterday (and to be fair if they'd got the same support from the fans), we'd still be in League 1.

Clearly there was trouble in the dressing room and that doesn't reflect well on either the players or the ex manager.

We don't condone the king of thing we see from Wycombe and now Scunthorpe but we have failed to close out games and that does entail slowing it all down, keeping the ball and staying behind it. What happened yesterday is actually a very good example. At 2-1 up in such a game, most keepers would be lying down for 10 minutes at every opportunity. Macey, innocent that he is, despite having a game ending injury, just doesn't lie on the ball and wait for the ref to stop it, he tries to throw it out, straight to Morris. Sums it up.

I see Scunthorpe's chairman has apologized and indicated the players and manager "should have sorted it out" - which I take it means give us back a goal.

"That's not the way I've run a football club and it's not the way I've come into football, so I'm really disappointed about it. I'm not putting the players or the manager up for interview because it's all going to be taken up over something which we need to deal with within the club."

What hurts notDistant is the fact that we were THREE MINUTES AWAY FROM STAYING UP.....and then crappy Sunderland let Southend score the winner.....bleddy Adams fault that he peed the players off so much that they weren't playing for him anymore.....Adams sacked to late to save us unfortunately.

By the way....Macey was trying to through the ball into touch so he could get treatment....he should have stayed down holding on to the ball....the Ref couldn't have penalized him for doing that....would that of meant a dropped ball restart by the Ref in the penalty area....most teams would not of competed for it and allowed the ball to be cleared.

Don't you start blaming the fans notdistant. The simple fact is that if a team gives the support suomething to cheer about rather than jeer about then they get the support. The green faithful went to games in numbers despite the results and brand of **** football and did their part for most of the season. However, the players and management did not give them anything to cheer about for most of it. I think the crowds were very forgiving for most of the time and that would not have happened at most clubs.

The clear out is going to happen almost naturally this season end. A load are out of contract and the likes of Carey and Lameiras will leave as well as the dross. Once again we will see an almost new squad and lets hope whoever is the manager has a better head for recruits than the last one.

As for Macey not holding onto the ball. We commented on that yesterday in the same vein. He was naive but that does not excuse Scunthorpe players, manager and supporters for their crass and disgusting behaviour. I thought Macey was at fault at least in part for their first and that man will not make a decent keeper as long as his arse points to the grass. Highly rated at Arsenal by he will never get anywhere near their team. I hang my head when I saw he was playing yesterday. Young Cooper in his cameo role looked a keeper and I would rather see him given a chance than some other clubs under 23

There are those on Twitter abusing those other Argyle fans who clapped Argyle off on Saturday (including me), let alone the players themselves. Are you in that camp?

As I've said, the level of abuse aimed at Adams and the players in the less civilised forums and at the tunnel entrance has been unacceptable even what's turned out to be a relegation year.

How should fans show their unhappiness at what is on offer....by not turning up ?

No I'm not in the abuse camp but what goes on on twitter is nothing to do with those that go. The supporters have pretty much backed the team and club in numbers other clubs could only dream of. They have not run away when it started going wrong and the atmosphere on Saturday was loud and proud. Whatever you think, the fans are not to blame for anything and if some don't clap and cheer then so be it and it is down to the players they don't. They are entitled to be disappointed and show it if they want to. If you think it's ok to serve up anything and not get rebuked at all then please come to my £500 a meal at my Cafe I've just opened in my front room for your fish and chips.

But the players must be affected by what goes on in social media these days and anyway, it's not 100% true of fans on the ground either. If you'd been over in Block 7 as I've been in recent games owing to the more central areas being filled full, you's have seen the red faced yobs leaning over the fences and parapets laying into the manager and players.

Incidentally, there was a minor scuffle at the tunnel entrance between irate fans and Scunthorpe players.

It has been a tough watch at times this year but booing and abusing the players doesn't help.

I'm still in shock over relegation....and I haven't been subjected to having to watch them in the flesh like some of you have to do.

Our squad wasn't the strongest on paper....but they certainly weren't in the bottom four either....and should have been well within the middle of this league.

I remember the comments after thrashing Rochdale by putting five past them...they were definitely going down....ended the season with the worst goals against in the league.....88 if I remember rightly....more than our sieve impersonators....and they ended comfortably in mid-table.

It all comes back to the coaching staff.....and by sacking Wotton as well as Adams I think the Directors agree.

To finish the season as we did was disgraceful....what the hell was Adams & Wotton doing during the week...taking them all down Nandos instead of training.

P9...W1...D2...L6...GF9...GA23...Pts5....Kamikaze pilots couldn't dive any quicker than that....what happened to Adams at the end of this season to get that sought of response out of this average group of players....why where they performing in such a way....puzzling personally.

Well at least on this Forum no one abusers any body, We just make our points known without actually abusing players staff and others.

The only abuse is at me for not adding up correctly.. but im human and cant count .. only money sometimes... well we have to move forward and hope fully who ever comes in has a good start and not give the rest half a season head start.. time will tell..

I've just read about the "apology" issued by Scunthorpe on their main club page. Their manager on the day Dawson says that he didn't appreciate fully what was going on with our keeper and now having reviewed it on video he can see why everyone kicked off and perhaps they should have handled it differently.

WHAT A LOAD OF FECKING BOLLOX.

It was in full view of everyone in the ground and they knew exactly what had happened and chose to ignore it and take the goal. To say they didn't see it is just another nail in the unsporting coffin. Of course they saw it just like the Leyton Orient manager and the Referee saw the ball boy push previously. Why do they lie like that and think we are so gullible we won't notice. Not a word from Morris however. Why haven't they sacked him?

I obviously failed to spot 11 of out players shouting and waving their arms too. Is he an ex linesman?
