I see you're finally up to speed with that. Hate to say I told you so. but I did say that a long time ago.
Mate, the years I've spent following city have always been fun. Stressful, but enjoyable. Fan engagement is a massive part of the modern game. Look at Brighton for one, the whole matchday experience they offer is class. Look at how instant the response to Everton and Leeds' **** badge redesign was. Clubs more than ever need to listen to their fans. I know you're not typically an apologist and I do like the fact that you tend to take a pragmatic view but bloody hell your talking some bollocks tonight. *edit. For the record, I agree with your points on transfers, wages etc. Cut cloth accordingly.
How am I criticizing people for not having a solution?? I think firebombing their house might work. Do you wanna do that? I'm just saying it's boring seeing the same posts why don't you **** off allams. They aren't going. I accept it and ignore it that's all. And just make the best of it. It'd been fun to have the internet when fish etc were in charge.
I could be wrong about this, Chazz, but I reckon a lot of current 'Members' will have already decided to knock it on the head now anyway. Maybe that's why they'll choose not to vote.
The Allams don't use PR? Jesus. The amount of spin, deflection and outright lies they come out with to hide what they do is incredible. And largely it works. The scale of their malice, spite and underhandedness still goes enormously underestimated and underreported. Their form of PR has been incredibly effective for them. Plus they've still got you and a few other devotees on here doing a bit extra for them in your free time.
I know this was true as I worked on the turnstyles and was told just to override they system to get people through the doors The electronic cards /tickets can only tell if the card had already used for that game not the age of the person using the card this used to be done in person and entry refused. The lights used to flash different colours for adult or concession but once the light was lit up it was already to late as at the same time the light was put on the gate allowed entry There were so many problems all issues were told to be overridden to get people in
Thanks for the reply: I'm not doubting that the turnstyle system was/is garbage - my doubts are based on the, apparent, lack of evidence giving credence to Ehabs insistence that 'hundreds' were taking advantage of the poor system installed.
Because as I said the lights changed to signal a consession or adult but we were told not to do anything even though adults were going through on consession tickets the problem got worse and worse as people realised the weakness in the computer system the lines of supporters got longer and longer. . Not a problem now though no long lines of supporters
And also, in the great scheme of things, would it really have made such a great difference in a financial way? Why don't other clubs take such a radical stance as the Allams have?
And I stood and counted as many as i could going into the north west corner with print at home tickets and reported it as I was told not to stop people. 1 match there was over 70 that I could see but I could not stop to confirm but they were the most obvious ones adults aged 20-40 with consession tickets / lights
They were penny pinching on staff trying to reduce staffing numbers. But now use more stewards than before.
